Safe and effective!
I was having a huge problem of the deer eating my tomato plants. I ordered these and put them out and the deer never came back. In fact, I noticed that none of the wildlife came over to have a snack in my garden. As you can see, my garden was very large with multiple vegetable plants! These were very simple to place wherever you need them! No odor whatsoever. Definitely a great buy. And no toxic chemicals!!

The design needs help
I put these out, so far the deer haven't come into our pumpkin patch. We have a terrible time with the deer eating our pumpkins each year. Hopefully this will deter them. It's still early to tell. I'll update later. I thought the design was awful, I didn't care for the bent metal rods, you have to bend them out straight (which is difficult if you don't have much strength in your hands). Plus the piece that sits on top of metal rod barely sits on it, it falls right off. So I bent the end of metal rod (with pliers) into a small loop & twisty tied them on cuz a wind of any kind would send them blowing for sure. It didn't smell to me at all so we'll see if the deer can pick up on it. We've already had a pretty good storm since I put them out & I'm very glad I twisty tied them on or who knows where they would have blown to. Since they weren't super expensive I got them to see if they'd help us with the deer problem. I'll update after harvest!! UPDATE: Don't waste your money. The deer have come into the pumpkin patch & are happily eating away! These don't keep them away or hinder the deer in any way at all. Besides the bad design of the metal stake they come with to put the piece on top of (that falls right off if you bump it or the wind blows) this product doesn't work at all. So disappointed.

So far they work great!!!
I live where deer munch your landscaping. They munch almost anything during the winter, but in summer they are particularly fond of hostas and impatiens and almost everything nice. I love hostas. I tried this product and so far it’s working. I bought 3 hostas and stuck one of these in each one and so far they are still there! I bought 3 packages (18 in all). I stuck them throughout the beds adjacent to my house and I have seen no munching at all. My dog seemed attracted to the when I first put them out, but lost interest pretty quickly. The only thing I find annoying is how you have to unbend the metal rods to make them straight. UPDATE: June 15 and they are still working! Hostas still there. They are even flowering! I had some lily of the valleys under a tree which I did not protect and they were gone. But I put one of these in and the new growth is undisturbed. UPDATE: June 22 and my flowers are blossoming like crazy. So the 3 hostas I planted are still intact. In fact they are flowering! UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: I just bought these again. I put 1 in each of the first 2 hostas and forgot to put one in the third hosta (last photo). The deer chomped the hosta without the repelling station. They did not touch the other 2 where I put the repellents.

Worked great the first two years
Bending the wire to be straight to put in ground was a bit challenging, but the first two years I used this, there were NO deer in my beds. I told all of my neighbors about it. But this year the pods didn't work at all. Not sure why, but I'll try one more year to see if it was a fluke. There is no bad smell, and you don't have to reapply like the spray, and very reasonable. They last about one summer, but that worked well in North Florida.

Don’t Buy. Waste of Money!! Deer not phased! See photo
If I could put a 0 I would have. These didn’t work since the moment I put them in. See the 2 TWO black things sticking up. Yeah they do NOT work. Don’t waste your money. I bought one at Lowe’s and I bought one on here, hoping they would help. NOPE!!! See photo and this is not the first time.

Worked great for 1 month.
This product worked great for one month then the deer came and ate everything that was to be protected by this product. Had bought three times then refused to continue to use the product.

Saved our plants all spring and summer!
We got a few packages of these from a neighbor who was moving. She said they worked for her. We have hoards of deer running through our neighborhood. We put them out and bought more. Last year deer munched on our hydrangeas and hostas eating them to the ground. This year they weren’t touched. Buying more for the fall. For us, there were worth every cent. Be sure to follow the directions and you’ll save your plants.

It’s not full proof
I used two packages of these. They are easy to install unfortunately deer ate all the cucumbers & tomatoes that I was growing in my small garden. I added a string with pie plates around my garden which made a lot of noise as they moved up & down with the wind. I added a big hanging wind chime in the center and surrounded the garden with potted marigolds, which deer hate the smell. Not to mention I planted all the herbs deer stay away from. I think I need to search for a very small electric fence.
