The absolute best E-Reader out there
If you're looking for the best E-reader, this is it. As an owner of both the base kindle and this one, I can say that the paperwhite is perfect for me, and for most people. Pros: Balances size, weight and portability really well. Screen is very nice and adjustable. Warm light for night reading. Great size for manga/comics Cons: Not as portable as the base kindle. You can sometimes get a bad screen and would need to exchange it. Usage: I’ve been using it regularly for over a month and can say with certainty that I much prefer this for reading books and comics than my base kindle and my phone/tablet. It's also pretty portable but not as built for portability as the base model. I used it on the go and was just fine too. Best for: Anyone who wants an all-in-one device. If you read comics or manga, this one is the way to go, text is much smaller in comics and this size makes it more comfortable to read than anything smaller. Conclusion: Top of the line E-reader, can do anything you throw at it, decently portable with great battery life, feel in hand and build quality. Unless you only read on the go, I would say go for this model. PS, the signature edition has wireless charging, auto brightness and 32gb ram. Worth it if you care for any of these, otherwise go for the base paperwhite.

A Worthwhile Upgrade.
Received my new Paperwhite Signature today and so far I couldn't be happier. i am vision impaired and although the screen is less than an inch longer than the regular Kindle, it makes a huge difference to me. The jade colour is beautiful, along with the jade cover, it's very comfortable to hold despite the larger size. It also has the option to dim or warm up the light, which I've not tried yet. Screen is very clear, no lines or distortions at all, it arrived about three quarters charged so I was able to set it up straight away. I did hesitate due to the price, but I'm glad I went ahead as this is making my reading experiecne so much easier and more enjoyable. Quality seems really good and it responds faster than my other one. All in all, I'd say it's well worth spending the extra money, especially for anyone with poor eyesight like me.

The best Kindle I’ve owned!
The best kindle I’ve owned! Definitely an upgrade from my old paperwhite, the screen is super clear and crisp, page turn is fast and responsive, and the new UI is so much more intuitive than the old one. Battery lasts for ages (I charge mine once a month and read for a couple of hours a day). Feels really comfortable to hold, even for longer reading stretches.

The Ultimate E-Reader Luxury: Auto-Light, Wireless Charging, and Perfect Display.
Why I Upgraded to the Signature Edition: I was already a fan of the standard Paperwhite, but the Signature Edition adds premium, essential upgrades that make the reading experience absolutely flawless. This isn't just an e-reader; it's a dedicated reading device perfected for comfort and convenience. The Signature Differences (The Pros): Auto-Adjusting Front Light: This is the most underrated feature. The device uses ambient light sensors to automatically adjust the screen brightness and warm tone based on your surroundings. Transitioning from a brightly lit room to a dark bedroom is seamless and prevents eye strain. It truly feels like the device is adapting to you. Effortless Wireless Charging: Placing the Kindle on any standard Qi wireless charging pad is incredibly convenient. It removes the hassle of fumbling with cables, making the charging process nearly invisible. Given the already long battery life, this ensures the device is always topped up and ready. Massive 32GB Storage: While the standard Paperwhite is adequate, 32GB of storage ensures I never have to worry about managing space for my extensive library of books and graphic novels. It holds thousands of titles comfortably. Fastest Performance Yet: The newer generation processor is noticeably faster than previous Kindles. Pages turn instantly, and navigating the store and menus is fluid and responsive. The Core Kindle Experience: The essential Paperwhite features remain perfect: the water-safe design, the beautiful, glare-free 300 ppi display, and the multi-week battery life. The Signature Edition takes this best-in-class foundation and adds the luxuries that make reading an absolute joy. Final Verdict: If you read frequently, especially at different times of the day and in varying light conditions, the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is absolutely worth the upgrade. The auto-adjusting light and wireless charging elevate the user experience from great to perfect. A flawless, premium, 5-star investment for any dedicated reader.

Not perfect, but still the best general reader
When my Kindle Oasis battery packed in (and wasn't replaceable?!) I struggled to find a replacement I wanted. I originally bought the Kobo Libra Colour - which has a lot going for it. It's possible to sync books from across multiple sellers via Google Drive, it has physical page turn buttons, it has a pen for note taking... but (and I think this is a criticism of all colour ereaders, not just Kobo) the screen is too dark to use without the frontlight on, and that's no good for me. I went for this as I wanted a 7" screen - the perfect size for an ereader, I reckon. And it's good - the screen is clear and bright, even without a frontlight, the battery life is excellent. It's a shame that Amazon try to stop you using UK libraries, but this can be worked around with Calibre, which you can also use to load your owned books from other sellers. Also, with the latest update, you can double tap the back of the reader to turn pages, which isn't as good as a physical button, but is something. Unfortunately, there is no sync with Google Drive or similar, no Pocket sync and it is a bit expensive for what it is, but for 7" readers, there's still probably no better alternative.

So far i am very happy with my purchase i like how easy it is to put my own books on there via usb. Everything just worked, manga reads way better on this than on my phone. lines are crisp display is fast live it so far however, when I'm using the device i feel like I'm gonna damage it. The outer shell does not feel cheap but it feels weak (JerryRigEverything's durability test for the colorsoft shows how weak these models are) I was planning on using it as is, but I decided at least a screen protector would probably make me less anxious when using it. Edit: got a screen protector and case. Now it feels way more solid and i feel like i can take it anywhere without it dying. overall great device. attached some manga pictures for scale reference if what i read online is correct the margins are smaller if you buy your manga from the kindle store.

I’ve been using the Kindle Paperwhite Signature for about three days now, and so far I’m really impressed. The screen is super clear and easy on the eyes, especially at night. The auto-adjusting warm light works better than I expected and makes reading much more comfortable. It feels noticeably faster than my old Kindle, and page turns are smooth with no lag. Battery life also seems great so far — I’ve been reading every day and haven’t had to worry about charging yet. The wireless charging is a nice bonus and makes things even more convenient. Overall, it feels well-built, lightweight, and very easy to use.

Dieser Reader ist state of the art. Und hoffentlich hält er so lange wie der alte...
