Was skeptical at 1st as these types of heaters usually fail pretty quickly. Using in a 3ft Cube tank with high chlorine 10ppm to keep water at 104 for testing purposes, been running nonstop for 2 weeks with no issues. Note when adding water, you will lose temp and depending on set temp and amount added it may take it a day to recover but it does. It will also not overshoot temp as I have had several other types do this as well. Well made, GFCI works as expected. One thing to note, as seen in product image, facing product its right handed, meaning the heater and temp probe comes out of the controller on the right side, it has plenty of length, but does affect where you can mount the controller. I also had to extend the power cable as my set up required one, easy Home Depot fix. Good little tank heater for the price.

The media could not be loaded. Well I usually don’t like writing bad reviews but when it comes to safety I will as you can see in the video I have 54 volt AC at the water and the cold side of the sink pipe and there SO CALLED GFI was not tripping. I bought this because at my work they don’t have a way to bath so I set up a way to bath and yes I know to pull the power before getting in but this time I was really tired and forgot so I got in but the plastic tub was insulating me there was no ground until I went to grab the metal door handle and shut the door and ZAP it got me. Like I said when it comes to safety yes I will write a review whether you’re using this to heat up a water trough for livestock or whatever if it was livestock, it would shock them because they’re grounded. I will dissect the unit to find out the exact calls and post it later as an update, but this stuff needs to be UL listed. (edit 1) I purchased this in December 28 2023 so my 30 days was up to return this product> I DO NOT REVIEW A PRODUCT after i just get it I take the time to see if it works for awhile because most products work well as soon as you get them but i'm in for the long run

This works great. My hot tub wasn’t holding its own in this bitter cold weather. It was back up to temp within 24 hours of immersing the heating rod. It was only 39 degrees when I put it in and 102 degrees 24 hours later. Absolutely amazing!

heat up fast and hot. received it very fast. only used it 1-time.

I used this heater for an outdoor hot tub. It seemed to work really well for about a week. Then, I noticed that it kept tripping my fuse (not the GFI on the unit). I thought perhaps it was just drawing too much current for that circuit.I brought it in and tested in my bathtub. It stated making really weird gurgle noises. I unplugged and looked closer... the heating element is cracked! I've barely used this thing, but unfortunately it is after the return period. I'm speaking with Amazon now to see what could be done.

The product gets hot for sure but in our pool it raised the temp by 2* from 58 to 60 on its highest setting left on for 24h. Even with the pump running constantly. Pulled it out to see if it was hot and only the tip was hot-hot (sizzle) the rest was hot but not enough to heat from cold. You almost need already warm water.
