Tackle Rainy Days in Style with this Lightweight Comfy Jacket from Columbia
I am 6'0" and 165 lb with 33 size waist and bought two Red colors in M and one Super Blue in L size to compare and chooe one. There is a bigger than expected size difference between the M and L sizes. I usually opt for the large in many jackets and tops I buy because I have very broad shoulders but lean body, but in this case the Large was bulky. It is very wide cut especially around the waist. It depends on how you want it to fit; Just as a rain jacket, the large is fine with room for a sweater or sweatshirt when it's cold I would choose the large for hiking. The Medium fit just right, looks good even for a casual wear with not much room for a bulky sweater but can wear a sweatshirt or long sleeve T-shirt under it for warmth. Mind you, all pictures were taken while wearing a t-shirt only. Also there is definitely a slight but noticeable cut difference BETWEEN THE TWO MEDIUM sizes I purchased caused probably by period of production and slight design changes that accompanied it. For starters the Rocket Red fit me more nicely with a slightly more room around the shoulders and wider overall cut and the mesh was softer and more fine. overall more comfortable to wear. The Mountain Red was a little snug around the shoulders and sides and the mesh is definitely coarser on my arms which is fine, but since I have broad shoulders I chose the Rocket Red. The Mountain Red had a solid polyester fabric right below the collar where the Columbia tag is for durability, but the Rocket Red was soft mesh all the way to the edge of the collar. Also the mesh interior is more fine and softer on the Rocket Red than the Mountain Red. Also the Blue one has fine soft mesh also and missing the collar solid polyester fabric. I would bet the Rocket Red is a discontinued product since it's not offered on Columbia.com as well as many of the colors offered here on Amazon. So I can assume the colors here that are not offered on Columbia's website are probably discontinued and will have a softer mesh and fit a little bit more loose or classic fit. I guess Columbia upgraded it to make it more durable around the neck area and fit more modern a little bit. I would also like to add about one other review that said quality defect in one pocket being sewn all the way to the hem but not the other pocket(Left pocket), IT IS NOT A QUALITY ISSUE, that pocket is where you pack the jacket. it has a two sided zipper, so you can turn the pocket inside out and pack the whole jacket inside, so it's intentionally sewn that way. All the three jackets I got where sewn like that. It will have a patch near the zipper pocket that says PACKABLE. Overall really nice quality jacket as to be expected from Columbia, and a steal on these prices, in stores it usually is twice.

Look and feel great while getting wet
Bought this originally for a study abroad in Germany but have loved it and used it ever since.I have now owned this jacket for over 2 years and it has held up beautifully. I have worn this jacket quite a bit as I first bought it while I studied abroad in Germany for a summer and used it nearly daily. Since then, I have worn it fairly constantly throughout the fall, winter and spring. The jacket isn't the most light weight rain jacket, but it is still light enough you can wear it in semi warm weather and be comfortable enough. It does a great job at keeping the rain out like it is supposed to from head to waist. It also isn't a super warm jacket but it does have enough lining to again, keep you comfortable enough in cold weather. The fit is perfect. I wear a large in most shirts, 6'1.5", and fairly "athletic" build. I bought the large jacket and it fits everywhere like I would want. Hits just right on the waist, doesn't hang low to my bum but I can also comfortably raise my arms above my head and it doesn't lift too high up. Sleeve length is perfect to my wrists and the shoulders hit just right. The hood is light weight and has a "visor" to keep the rain from your face even more but it does seem to have a difficult time to stay on your head with some wind coming head on.Overall I love this rain jacket mainly for the fall and spring, and some "warmer" days in the winter. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone who needs a rainy season jacket.

A really good raincoat, light and tight where it needs to be
This truly is a pocketable coat you can pull inside out one of the pockets and crush into a ball and zip it right up into a 4 x 4 pack.It is more than water resistant, it is waterproof, and with the hood up and draw string you really do not need an umbrella.I also trot along with a 13 inch backpack underneath to keep things from getting wet on occasion. The sleeves terminate in cuff with Velcro straps that can hold them out of the way, or be used to sinch the cuffs to a custom fit. I bought this just before heading out on a trip to Seattle, a really rainy city.. and kept my Mobile phone just under the velcro cuff on one side running Google Maps to help me get around. It has a liner, and it does a good job of breathing without being damp or clingy the material is like a netting (black) feels almost like a cotton net but not at sticky or natty.. its "neat".Drys quickly. And I wore it on a Trip to Mt Locke in West Texas at the McDonald Observatory.. it gets very cold out in the Desert at night, but this was plenty warm. There is just enough "airspace" captured inside when you want it to claim some heat and hold on to it to keep you warm. It's not a parka, but its really versatile and has become one of my go to jackets for bad weather. Its not what you wear on a calm sunny day, but first sign or wind, overcast, cooling temps.. I grab this and toss it in my other jacket pocket just in case.Better than an Umbrella!

Buen producto

Works great in the rain with a ball cap on!
Loved the first one so much I didn't hesitate to buy the second one. First one got roofing tar all over it. I've spent hours in the rain fishing with the old one.
