Aesthetically pleasing, great for tiny hands, made w/ sturdy material - would definitely buy again!
I just absolutely adore this toy. I might even like it more than my son (but that’s probably just because he’s still working on his hand/eye coordination ☺️). Aesthetically, it’s basically one of the coolest toys I’ve ever bought for my son — especially for the price. I love the big handle & short length of the net, it’s perfect for tiny hands. Also, the net is made out of pretty sturdy material, so even when my son decides to teeth on it or catch toys with more jagged edges, it holds up nicely. The little bugs are so simple & cute, the colors are so pleasant & bright .. Oh, plus, when your little one is a bit older you can use it to play catch outside of the bath so it’s got longevity, too! I really can’t say enough good things about it. And, of course, it’s made by Boon. They’ve yet to let me down in the year or so I’ve been purchasing their products; I just love ‘em. Please let me know if you found this review helpful, as I also rely heavily on others’ reviews when making online purchases 😊.

Entertaining bath toy
I was looking for a bath toy that did not have a hole in it. I have read too many articles about mold inside of bath toys and other toys that squeeze. That is the main reason I got this, but upon playing with it I like it for other reasons as well. The little bugs float on top of the water and are easy for my daughter to grab. She is still too young to use the net, but she enjoys watching me collect the bugs and count them. This is the kind of toy that will grow with her as she will eventually be able to try to catch the bugs her self. This is very I was looking for a bath toy that did not have a hole in it. I like that I am not afraid of mold growing on these toys.

Updating an old 4 star review, to 5!
My son really enjoys the water bugs. He has started "fishing" by picking the bugs up and just placing them in the net. He's so proud of himself when he does so. It's adorable to watch. We've had these for about 5 months (he's 14 months now) and they have been played with everyday -- in and out of the tub. The bugs fit perfectly in his hands. I don't have to worry about mold, since water cannot enter the toy cavity. Tho this may cost more than your classic rubber/squeaky bath toys . . . it is worth it. Once you buy this you will have it forever. The rubber toys must be thrown out after too much use. ------------Original 4 star review, Nov 2011------------------- This is a quality bath toy at a reasonable price. I love that there is no way for water to get inside (I bought this so I could throw away the rubber ducky). The bugs are cute, and the net floats well. I'm sure my son will love it once he catches on to "fishing." As for now, he actually seems more interested in playing with the bugs outside of the tub. For now, his stacking cups are his preferred bath toy (really, the duck was . . . but he's gone). I would definitely recommend this toy. If my boy was more interested in it, I'd give it a five.

Warning: One of the top reviews is inaccurate!!!
I specifically purchased this because I was looking for bath toys without holes. One of the top reviews, the one with the most helpful amount of votes, gives praise for the lack of holes and inability for mold to creep in and grow. I saw this review and the answered questions that specifically state that the little bugs are made of solid plastic (no holes) and that was enough for me to add to my cart. Shame on me for not reading ALL of the reviews and paying more attention to the commentary about the net! The bugs themselves are indeed hole free. They are plastic and lightweight and fun to float around the tub. Unfortunately, the net has a big hole at the end of the handle. I am guessing it is there to serve as somewhat of an anchor, making sure the net can easily be submerged into the water to scoop up the bugs. I get it. But the problem remains that water can get trapped. Oy, the very issue I was trying to avoid! My daughter enjoys this toy. At 18 months, I find that it is a great way to practice her fine motor skills. She enjoys the challenge of trying to catch the bugs. I also find that she likes to put her face up against the netting and play peek-a-boo. When done with the bath, I try my best to shake the net to get out as much water as possible. I then store it in a mesh bag with the handle side down, hoping that any additional water with drain out into the tub. As other reviewers have noted, the net could be used outside of the bath tub for any of those really concerned about the mold issue. So far, I am hopeful that my shaking/storage strategy is enough.

Great for 12 months plus
This is just a great bath toy. I have a 12 month old that really enjoys playing in the bath and with this toy. - big handle for baby to hold easily and it sort of teaches the baby how to hold it the right way -comes with 3 plastic "bugs" to catch... but the net is also good at catching most bath toys we use so even if you lose the bugs, the net will still be fun to use - so far no issues with mold (I do not use bath toys like the squirters bc they breed mold). - I read a review that said the net gets yucky. I haven't experienced this but I put all his bath toys in a moby bath basket every night to be out of any water and air dry. - bugs are safe for baby to put in mouth (bc babies put everything in their mouths!!)

Love, Love, Love!!!
This toy is freakin' awesome!! We got it when my kids were just toddlers. My youngest is now almost 5yo and still loves playing with it in the bath. It's small and doesn't take up much space. The material is easy to rinse off, extremely durable, and it doesn't get rusty or moldy like some toys might. We've had it for over 3yrs now, and it looks brand new. It's such a simple design, yet provides plenty for imaginative play and fun. In fact, it's the only bath toy we have, and it's all my kids need. Would absolutely recommend for your little ones!

Finally, an appropriate bath toy
These are the best bath toys I have found. I ordered two! The bugs are durable and lighweight, perfect size for little hands, have nice round edges for a baby like mine who puts them in his mouth sometimes, and best of all, there is absolutely no way for water to get in. Hooray! I have thrown away several bath toys in the last year so I decided that I would never again get a squirting bath toy or one where water could get inside, but I could not believe how hard it is to find such toys. But even the point at which the net is connected to the frame seems to be watertight. The bugs are fun colors so we practice identifying them by color. I saw one previous comment that the net was really small, but maybe Boon redesigned because as I said, I bought two of these (one net and 3 bugs) and one of the nets holds all six bugs!

Bring back the spider bugs!
My kids are older now but they loved this toy. I was looking it up to buy as a first birthday gift for a friend. But my kids favorite part was the spider bugs. The little ring bugs just aren't as good.
