I recently purchased the Elder Welder Hidden Wall Safe, and I'm really happy with it. I loved how easy it was to unpack this product, and I was impressed by how straightforward the installation process was. I think it's pretty cool how it blends in and it's spacious enough to store my valuables. Inside, the safe offers ample space to store my valuables. Setting up the password was also a simple task, and I feel much more secure knowing that my belongings are protected and hidden. If you’re looking for a reliable hidden wall safe that combines convenience with effective security, I highly recommend the Elder Welder. It’s an excellent investment and I highly recommend this product!

I wanted something that I could store some things in there was somewhat hidden. This in walk lock box fits the bill. It is not fireproof, but it works for what I needed it for.

Calling this a "safe" is a bit of an overstatement, thus the minus two stars - it's a sheetmetal box with a picture frame hung on magnets in front of it that can can be securely mounted into the wall (securely, if one uses better screws than the ones provided, that is). But it doesn't matter - if a thief finds it - and admittedly it is well hidden behind the picture - they can probably pry it open with a screwdriver (so, not a "safe"). As a hidden wall box, it's well-designed, so that's what the remaining stars are for. Easy to install, if you have a few tools that'll allow you to work around drywall holes. And I wouldn't put it too close to a door, lest slamming of it might knock the frame off its magnets (I can see that happening). Also, be aware it is about an inch narrower than the usual space between two 16" studs - first I worried it might make it less secure, but after I saw how the drawer is "secured" in the surround, I really didn't care much any more. Feel free to use the tiny screws it comes with. Pre-drill the holes, or you'll shear off the little phillips heads.

This thing is freaking awesome! I love how simple and easy it was to use and operate. Installation was pretty straightforward—especially if you’re into DIY projects. This is actually relatively thin, especially considering the metal construction, which I like because it makes mounting much easier. The weight isn’t overbearing during installation, and it feels just right. If you can mount it on studs, that’ll definitely add some security. The overall quality feels just okay. It’s a bit janky in some areas, and the rotary combination lock doesn’t have the most solid feel to it. That said, it’s very discreet and doubles as a picture frame, which I think is really cool. I wouldn’t use it for extremely valuable items, but for minor things you want tucked away, it’s perfect. The price is also pretty fair for what you’re getting. • Easy to install and mount • Thin and lightweight metal design • Great disguise as a picture frame • Best for non-essential valuables • Lock feels a bit cheap • Not ideal for high-security storage Removing one star for the build quality and lock, but overall it’s a clever and useful product that I’d still recommend.

Just as advertised

Well made. I wouldn’t store the Crown Jewels in it but it’s a nice wall safe for modest amounts of valuables or quick access to a handgun in an emergency. Just make sure you never lose the convoluted Rubik cube instructions for changing the code .

Easy to install. It took about an hour start to finish. I also repainted the frame to match existing pictures.
