This product is amazing at what it does
This product is amazing at what it does. I mean I was pretty sceptical that it would leave some kind of stain or residue, plus not really remove much of the stain. I was completely wrong. I have done some research and the product decays to leave only water and destroys itself in the process, an amazing feat of Chemistry. I was thinking what it would do was act like normal soap, whereby the solvent dissolves stains, that is just makes them move about easier and the soap is still left in the mattress. I thought it would dissolve the stain and move it away from the top of the mattress and make it less visible, which would be satisfactory to me. It's actually much better than that. This is not a soap like product at all. What it actually does is break down any organic material (Body fluids, animal parts or food) into water and CO2. That is it destroys the stain substance and the product itself leaving no trace. The ideal result for stains in a bed, it doesn't just hide them it destroys them, leaves no trace or damage of having used the product and it does a good job at all of these. It takes about 24 hours to dry in, with results visible in about 12 hours. You will probably need 2 applications for medium soiled mattress' and anywhere up to 6 isn't ridiculous for bad mattress'. However 1 coat on any stain will make it much much better, just not invisible. However despite these positives, which have mostly been about the actual chemical, this particular product is expensive. If you are needing something you can be certain that will help on a mattress in a hurry, buy this. It actually uses oxygen based bleaches, which is the same component in Cillit bang and other oxy products. I decided to but a tub of oxy powder to compare it to. What I didn't realise was that these products are not 100% identical, in fact they use a cheaper carbonate form that has the same effect, except gives of a carbonate byproduct instead of just water. Sort of like limescale. This is a problem in mattress' and this product gives an odd rough texture to the surface. I still think this product is worth 8 pounds just because I had an embarrassing stain I needed removed quickly. This certainly did the job well, but knowing what it is made up off makes it seem like it is expensive. I have however looked far afield and not found the aqueous form anywhere for cheaper, so maybe it is more expensive at wholesale than I imagine.

Works well with fresh stains even if I never achieved a 100% result
My focus for this product was on the removal of localized small spots of blood. In the summer, I think I was plagued by mosquitoes, with the predictable consequences for my bedding, if not so much from the initial bite, but from my subsequent inability not to scritch them! The product works well on fresh instances, markedly less well on older ones, and I have yet to achieve a complete clean on any. I suspect this works well in combination with other solutions. I have learned that the worst thing you can do with blood stains is a hot wash and my duvet cover suffers from exactly that. It is not a fault of this product that it made no difference to those stains, its failure was 10% down to me

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
The product is a miracle, it has removed urine stains that had seeped through the mattress covers. I did not have to scrub or do anything else other than spray and leave. It took around 2 hours for it to completely dry, and remove the stain. Excellent product

Flimsy breakable packaging. Product quality tbc.
Haven't tried product yet but reviewing the packaging as i'm very dissapointed. Will update when I've tested how well it works. The nozzle cap, (to turn the bottle into a spray bottle) is very very delicate and flimsy. The plastic bag that it came in ripped and the nozzle cap and nozzle tube fell onto my carpet, *carpet*, and it shattered. The nozzle cap shattered upon impacting carpet. It is clearly not built to last 5 minutes which is very dissaponting. But whether my score for this product goes up to 4 stars or down to 1 star depends on how well it does its job. *cliff hanger*

Finally, something that works!
The cat was sick on the bed and it leaked through the mattress protector: not a big stain, but not something I wanted on the beautiful wool mattress I had saved up for. After carefully mopping up, I tried everything I would normally use on a carpet/upholstery stain... and when those didn't work, a couple of ideas I researched on the internet: - enzymatic pet stain remover - a well-known carpet spot-cleaning spray in a bright pink bottle - steam cleaning - an oxygen-based laundry bleach - white vinegar and bicarb - dilute peroxide ...and nothing worked. All they did was make the tidemark bigger on each attempt, and nothing was removing the yellow (which I think might have also been exacerbated by dampness in the wool). I gave up, put the clean mattress protector over the top, and as time went on the dried stain became darker underneath it. I saw this spray recommended on a list of spring cleaning ideas, and thought it was worth a try because it specifically said that it works on old dried-in stains, whereas the usual warning is that it's only going to work if it's a fresh stain. It's not cheap (although it is a big bottle - I can't imagine ever using it all), and I didn't have much hope given that nothing else had worked. The bottle was well packaged but there were a few droplets of liquid on the bottle inside its waterproof wrapper. It smells a little bit like peroxide on my hands, so I would guess there's an element of that in there, but there is no noticeable aroma once it is on the bed. I lightly sprayed just the bottom half of the stain, so that I could see the comparison without risking making the whole stain bigger yet again, and within half an hour it had pretty much vanished! I've sprayed the rest of the stain and my mattress now looks white again. There is still a slight tidemark visible and I'll do as other reviewers have suggested and give it a light spray each time I change the sheets for the next few weeks - and cross my fingers that it doesn't darken again over time. At least now I know what to use to make it white again!

Game changer.
This item is a super find. Just a matter of few hours the stains on the mattress vanished and left fresh as new.
