Way more capable than its price would suggest.
Preliminary impression is extremely positive, you just have to know what to expect from what is essentially a glorified soundbar. This system far exceeds my expectations so far; if that changes, I'll come back and update this review. First of all, what it's not: - This is not a room-shaker - This is not a window rattler - This is not a home theater in a box - There are no up-firing speakers with this system, nor the ability to add them - Your typical soundbar If that's what you're looking for, you WILL be disappointed by this system. Keep reading, though, because that might only be what you THINK you're looking for. Here's what this system IS: - Extremely flexible and easy to set up - Extremely easy to configure for a very pleasing theater experience - A quite competent solution for enhancing music, movies, and gaming without breaking the bank - Able to be set up in a way that compensated for the lack of up-firing speakers - More than capable of filling my 12x16 room with sound If you have neighbors and lack a sound-insulated dedicated theater room, you probably don't need more than this. If what I wrote above makes sense to you, you will very likely be happy with this system. My setup: Front and back walls are 12ft, side walls are 16ft Ceiling-mounted projector providing a 95" 16:9 display centered at eye level for seated viewing at a distance of 7ft Soundbar (L, R, and center) mounted 14" below and 26" behind lower edges of screen Side speakers mounted 18" on center from side walls, just below the vertical center of and 10" behind the screen Rear speakers mounted on rear wall, 12" on center from side walls and 8" on center from ceiling Subwoofer situated in right rear corner of the room, raised 35" off the ground Due to how Dolby Atmos content is (typically at least -- your mileage may vary depending on the content in question) mixed, most higher-positioned sounds are panned more toward the rear and lower-positioned sounds are pushed toward the center channel. This is, in equal parts, down to how our ears perceive sound in a 3D environment and to accommodate Atmos systems with up-firing speakers, which angle toward the rear of the room (the latter being a design decision taking the former into account). That psycho-acoustic reality is precisely what my setup takes advantage of and replicating my setup as closely as you can will give you a very convincing Dolby Atmos setup using this system. For 5.1 and 7.1 non-Atmos content, the same setup will give you a very Atmos-like (but not quite) experience. For $300, with an understanding of what you're getting and some careful setup and installation, you won't be disappointed by this system AT ALL. If you find it on sale (I found it for $230) you really can't go wrong picking this up.

Deep Punchy Bass
The soundbar alone is crisp and clear, but once you hook up the subwoofer and all four surround speakers, everything comes to life. Dialogue is easy to hear, bass hits hard, and the surround effects make movies feel immersive. The 6.5" subwoofer is way stronger than I expected. Deep, punchy bass without being muddy. The wired surround speakers do a great job filling the room, and the app control is surprisingly handy for fine-tuning settings. Dolby Atmos support is legit, especially if you're using HDMI ARC/eARC. Setup was simple, and everything synced fast with no issues. The build quality is solid too; all the pieces feel sleek and modern. Bluetooth connected quickly and maintains a solid connection. Came with nice wall mount optional hardware.

Simple, affordable, and effective
This system was very easy to setup thanks to the good packaging and instruction. The optional companion app is also handy for tweaking things if the remote is not handy! Also I used it to tune the sound profile, which was very helpful and allowed me to obtain excellent quality beyond what I expected at this price point. I mounted the back speakers on my wall and placed the side speakers on some shelf lamps. It worked well and looked nice both before and after I mounted my TV on the wall. The wireless subwoofer attached to back speakers is a godsend for ease of setup, and it magically paired on power on. I originally set it up with an eARC HDMI output from my smart TV, which indeed provided excellent Dolby surround for streaming as well as 4k Blu-ray (from an Xbox in my case). The sound is clear and separated, which makes the system particularly pleasing for playing video games, with effects and voices emitted with pinpoint accuracy. My smart TV had some issues consistently performing pass through via eARC, so I later switched to a classic optical input, still with good results and no fuss. Overall, this is a quality system with powerful, full surround features with the low price and trivial setup complexity of a sound bar.

Good system for the price point
The Ultimea Poseidon D80 7.1 Surround Sound System delivers impressive audio for its price. Setup was straightforward, with HDMI eARC, optical, Bluetooth 5.3, and AUX connectivity options. The wireless subwoofer and rear speakers (connected to the subwoofer) reduced cable clutter. The Ultimea app offers 121 EQ presets and 10-band customization for tailored sound, with modes like Movie, Music, and Game. Overall, i am impressed by the value, ease of setup, and powerful bass. T I will state that the wired surround speakers do limit placement flexibility, and the subwoofer’s bass can feel a little overwhelming in a small room. Compared to pricier brands, it’s a solid budget option but may lack the refinement of high-end systems.

Fantastic and Affordable Sound System for Home Theaters!
The ULTIMEA 7.1 Surround Sound System is a great choice if you’re looking for high-quality audio without breaking the bank. For its price, it delivers exceptional sound quality that elevates the home theater experience. The Dolby Atmos support provides rich, immersive sound, making you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. What really stands out are the sound options tailored for movies, music, and more. The movie mode enhances surround effects and dialogue clarity, while the music mode balances the bass and treble for a crisp, dynamic listening experience. No matter what you’re watching or listening to, the system adapts beautifully to bring out the best sound. The setup was very straightforward, even for someone who isn’t super tech-savvy. The 460W sound bar connects easily to smart TVs, and the 6.5" wireless subwoofer adds powerful bass without needing to deal with extra cables. The 4 wired surround speakers provide consistent, lag-free audio, ensuring that the surround sound experience is seamless. The system is well-built and looks sleek, so it fits nicely into a modern living room or dedicated home theater space. The app control is another big plus, making it easy to adjust the settings or switch between sound modes without leaving your seat. For an inexpensive system, the sound quality and features are impressive. It’s perfect for movies, music, and gaming, and it’s simple enough to set up and start enjoying right out of the box. If you’re looking for an affordable sound system with great sound options, easy setup, and Dolby Atmos support, the ULTIMEA Poseidon D80 is a fantastic pick!

Massive Sound, Small Price: The 460W Clear Powerhouse
I needed an updated Dolby Atmos soundbar and decided to give this ULTIMEA 7.1 system a try. I must say, the sound is fantastic. It has a 6.1" subwoofer that provides deep, punchy bass, and the treble is clear without being tinny. The design is very clean and professional-looking under my TV. I was also impressed by how seamless the HDMI ARC/eARC integration is—it synced perfectly with my system. Cord length was good for me, but I changed the front RCA speaker cords to the back ones because I wanted more length on the rear speakers. This 460W system surpassed my expectations and actually performs better than my old $900 Samsung soundbar. Great value for true cinema sound.

Worked for short time
Worked great for a couple of months but the back speakers are now throwing static. Disappointed because they worked so well until now.

Excellent Home Theater System
This review is for the Ultimea Poseidon D80 7.1 home theater. It consists of four small surround sound speakers, a modestly sized subwoofer, and a center speaker/control unit. The system is very easy to setup. The front two surround speakers connect to the center control unit via 3m RCA cables, and the two rears connect to the subwoofer with 6m RCA cables (all included). The cables are all identical and can be mixed and matched for your situation. The subwoofer connects wirelessly to the center unit and comes pre-paired. Both the subwoofer and the control unit require an AC wall outlet. The control unit uses a small block style wall adapter plug. It also comes with a TV-style and sized remote control. You can also download a free app to control it with your smartphone via Bluetooth. The remote lets you control the main volume and the bass, midrange and treble levels. There are also preset equalizer profiles or you can set a custom one. There are also something called EQ matrices you can set, but I found those to not make much difference. The remote also lets you change the brightness (only the phone app lets you turn it off) and duration of the volume/source display on the center unit. It accepts for sound input an AUX stereo jack, an optical TOSLINK cable, or an HDMI eARC cable (all included). It will also stream music from your smartphone via Bluetooth. It will process Dolby ATMOS sound input if available from your source, however higher priced ATMOS systems usually have more speakers including several aimed at the ceiling. Sound quality is still very good. The subwoofer is of modest size and won't shake your walls but still makes itself known. Wall mount kits are included for all the speakers except the subwoofer. The system overall has a very solid feel and build quality to it. The HDMI eARC cable controls the sound volume of it seamlessly with the TV's remote. It will also control the sound system's power, turning it on and off with the TV's power. Just make sure you have CEC Control turned on in your TV. It will be in the TV's menu someplace.
