Connect up the input with a short 3" 3.5mm m/m stereo cable and the output 3.5mm m/m with a 6" cable to the Aux audio jack. Velcro the player to the top of the amplifier and good to go. Set on High gain and amp volume all the way up, use the volume knob of the car entertainment center to adjust volume. Very clean, crisp audio, bass is not muffled or clipped and highs are sharp. Recommended.

This is at the low end price-wise when compared to similar Mini Amplifiers but, in my opinion, it is on the high-end sound-wise. No doubt critics will pick it apart since it is not a brand name, it doesn't have the dazzling operational buttons, sliders and dials, its cheap price gives the perception that it is not for standing around the water cooler bragging about it material and being incredibly inexpensive it must not be of good quality. Not so fast. We have been in the music business for many years and it certainly is good enough for us ... in fact, it far exceeded our expectation. After all, we do not expect our computer to sound like Carnegie Hall. This is a very nice piece of equipment that has incredible volume yet maintains outstanding quality sound.

Bought three of these. All of them had the Hi-Lo switch break off. Other than that, they are OK.

i love this item! i was going to buy the iFi hip-dac from a different company but luckily it was out of stock. this prompted me to look on amazon. after reading a lot of reviews i decided on this one. i'm happy to say it was a great choice. it not only increases volume but quality of the music adding brilliance, presence and depth especially to the likes of YES, KING CRIMSON and GENTLE GIANT to name a few. the high gain setting really opens up the sound. i only wish i purchased it sooner !! i can hardly believe the price. knowing how well it works i would have paid closer to $100
