Legitimately the best strings ever 😄
These strings are exactly what I needed for my 6-string bass. I love the DR coated strings and have used them for years, they keep that brightness of the "new string sound" for much longer, which is CRITICAL for getting good tone, especially for metal. If I had to change strings every month to get clear, articulate recordings, I would end up spending so much more, it would be unsustainable. These retain brightness and clarity for several months longer than uncoated strings, and I will continue to buy this set as long as they keep making them. They don't cost more than other high quality strings. The coating seems to have a slightly more midrange tone, but barely, and can easily be adjusted with eq, but I actually love it. These strings allow for that "piano chime", the frequency response is wide open so you can tailor it to your liking by cutting frequencies with your preamp or pedals. The upper midrange and top end of these strings is just what I need for getting that growl and pushing the overdrive and distortion.I wish they were available in a greater variety of gauges, BUT this set is perfect for my 6-string, which is the Ibanez EHB 1506-MS headless bass. They also have tapered core on the ball end, that fits the saddles better, I have always loved this design and I swear by it. The coating does not affect playability, I play fingerstyle mostly, and in fact, the coating is easier on my fingertips than the steel would be, and I LOVE the sound of stainless steel strings for bass.I couldn't ask for more from a set of bass strings, I will buy these forever.

Long lasting
These are surprising. I wanted to try them, but got the final push when Janek Gwizdala, who usually changes his strings every 12 hours of play time, said he kept a single set on for a whole tour. They are stiffer than normal Hi-Beams, closer to Fat-Beams, but their tone has not changed since after the first hour of install/playing. Not as bright as the Hi-Beams, probably as bright as Fat-beams with a couple hours on them, but the tone hasn't changed. This is after three church services and 5-6 hrs of practice. Worth the money to me.

Read the inside of the box first!
Really too early to tell. Haven’t broken them in yet. The only gripe I have is they shouldn’t write the instructions on the inside of the box. My grandson was done before I noticed them.

I’ll stick to using Hi-Beams
I usually use Hi-Beams, but decided to give these a try. I liked them, but didn’t notice enough of an extended life compared to Hi-Beams to justify paying $10 more for a set.

Strings still sound great after shows 1, 5, and 8!
I dig that these strings can still sound and feel fresh after playing multiple shows. They are easy to play and feel good on your hands even with hours of playing. They stay in tune really well and are top quality strings.

Best SS Strings
Finally a stainless string that lasts with brightness and pop for a long period of time. They are really well balanced and somehow have a “softer” feel than the regular stainless (I know that’s subjective)! Try them, and you won’t be disappointed!
