I’m starting to feel the results of aging & perimenopause so ordered this test during Cyber Monday. I got the results a couple of weeks after sending samples and already feel a lot more in control of my health. Knowledge is power. The app provides a high level view of your results (good, average, bad) and allows you to double-click for the details in easy to read/understand text — and gives links to more scientific wording if want to read through it. I had to look up some acronyms but otherwise it was easy to follow. The food recommendations are exactly what I’ve been looking for and feel this type of information is lacking from most doctor visits. I like that it tells you the foods to eat more of and avoid — AND WHY! I also ordered 6 months of the supplements and probiotics to try since my special blend would be hard to create on my own. I’ll follow the food recommendations and supplements for 6 months as directed and may test again to see if there’s a noticeable change. I told friends/family we visited with over the holidays about the test & results. Most mentioned they didn’t think the $399 price was very much compared to a test at a doctors’ office that you’d most likely have to cover out of pocket - especially if you haven’t reached your annual deductible amount yet. Directions to send in samples were clear - I gave myself a little extra time before work to complete and dropped in the mail on the way to work. The poop collection gave me a little stress but I’m pretty “regular” and was able to get the timing right. When completing the questionnaire I found it helpful that I had already done a food sensitivity test (also by mail from another company) so knew those results. This Viome test does not provide food sensitivity/allergy results but does incorporate your inputs into your food recommendations.

do NOT purchase if you are looking for a food allergy or sensitivity test. I wouldn't trust the gut test results either since they do not show details. Results are bogus & seem to be very generic info. Example, I'm allergic to cashews - results say: Cashews are an excellent source of copper, which serves many functions including maintaining the nervous system and the immune system. Why you should Enjoy: Good blood sugar response. Where is the sensitivity scale?? Results say either enjoy, minimize or avoid & THAT'S IT!!!! Results for cheese which bloats me: There are many types of cheese made from cow’s milk. Most are good sources of protein and calcium, which support strong bones and teeth. Why you should Enjoy: Good blood sugar response. I could go on..... If I could send back the test I would. STAY CLEAR OF VIOME. After researching I found, there aren't any peer reviews!

I had a good experience with the Viome Full Body Intelligence Test. The sample collection process was pretty straightforward. For the blood sample, I would suggest letting it drip directly into the vial and make sure you’re well hydrated before poking yourself. Shipping everything back was simple, and it was nice that you can track where your samples are and when you’ll get your results. The report broke everything down in a way that was understandable, although it could go into more details. The test was able to confirm issues that my doctors hadn’t been able to identify even after a colonoscopy and prescribing (incorrect) medications. Even after pushback and telling her it wasn’t helping with the massive bloating I was experiencing, she insisted I keep taking the meds. No nutrition counseling or anything. Now I know exactly which foods to avoid and which ones I can enjoy without triggering GI symptoms. And I was able to get these answers without having to go through an elimination diet and slow reintroduction process, which can be really restrictive, frustrating and difficult to do (I was unsuccessful at doing it earlier in my life). Overall, I feel like this test gave me clarity and direction that I hadn’t been able to get anywhere else. Now comes the hard part of making changes to my diet.

I recently took the Viome Full Body Test, and am thoroughly impressed! The kit arrived the week I ordered it and the instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. It took less than an hour and they made it simple to package and send out from my mailbox. My results came back within a couple of weeks and the insights were mind-blowing! They provided a breakdown of my SuperFoods, Foods to Enjoy, Foods to Minimize, and Foods to Avoid (I unfortunately, had to cut out some of the foods I was eating regularly). The lists were very clear and easy to understand. Viome put together a Nutrition Plan that incorporated all their recommendations, making it super simple to follow. Since implementing Viome's recommendations I've immediately noticed an improvement in my digestion and energy levels. Viome also created a personalized list of supplements and gut biotics tailored specifically to my unique gut biology. I have yet to order these, but plan to order them soon. For too long I was trying different diets recommended by podcasts or books and people who had no idea what my body truly needed. It's been a long time coming, but I'm thrilled to finally have a diet plan to follow that was designed just for me!!

I am a retired emergency physician and a big believer that the microbiome is an important part of good health. I also know that it is complex and that medical science is just starting to scratch the surface of understanding how it all works. There is lots of ongoing research, but still very little know about exactly what interventions can impact health in a positive way, other then to “eat healthy”. When I got my Viome results, it read more like a horoscope, then a medical test result. There are no actual results (I.e. what microorganisms are present in the stool), only Viome’s interpretation of what the results mean. This information is somehow magically created using AI. There is no scientific evidence to back up much of what they say. When I asked for the actual results, I could only communicate with an AI chatbot that gave me the run-around. When I persisted it let me chat with a “human” that was also clearly a chatbot. It was very good at using medical jargon, but what it said was mostly BS. There “results” are mostly used to motivate you to buy there other products. It’s modern day snake oil with a touch of real science.

My wife and I are getting older and we wanted to take more control of our health. The full body intelligence kit was exactly what we were looking for in peace of mind. The kit comes with step by step instructions to take samples and a prepaid envelop to send in the samples for analysis. Make sure to read the directions fully ahead of time as you need to collect most samples first thing in the morning. Videos are also available to help you. The app is very easy to navigate and you can track the analysis of your kit. The results are inciteful and provides recommendations on foods to steer clear of and superfoods to incorporate more into daily diet. The results did couple with supplements tailored to improve your health based on your results.

I usually don't write reviews for products, but this one is worth it. I got the saliva, stool, and blood collection kit only one day after ordering, which was great because I wanted to do the test at the same time as my regular blood tests. When I had a question about blood collection, I called their support, and they explained how to do it in detail. I found out later that the instructions are in the insert, in the box, so I should be reading more carefully. The questions that Viome asks took me about 30 min. I am glad they are asking about my specific health situation and history because otherwise I would be concerned about the results being provided without considering my context. Now, I am waiting for the results, and will update this review if I see any misses.
