I couldn't stop eyeing the color Sunday Tea. Honestly, I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted to paint with it but I was so inspired by the color I took the leap and decided to make over my bedroom furniture. I got the 16oz jar and did two coats on my nightstand, 2 coats on a big lamp, and started on a buffet table that's been in my basement. I still have maybe a quarter of the jar left which is not enough to do my tall dresser, but I think it would've been plenty if I hadn't messed around with the lamp and buffet table. I used a primer, but I honestly don't think it was necessary. To apply I used synthetic bristle brushes to cut in, and a 4 inch foam roller for the rest. The roller did leave some texture but I think that was easier to sand smooth than brush strokes. I also made sure my brush and roller were slightly damp, and kept a spray bottle handy to mist the piece/thin out the paint as needed. It was so easy to work with. I love that it dries fast, so by the time you're finished with your first code you can go right back over with the second one. I also love that it didn't have any funky odors and was easy to clean up and clean out of my paint brushes so I can use them again. It's holding up fairly well, although I will say it's not a super durable finish. It does pick up scratches and scuffs rather easily so I am definitely planning to get some wax or something to seal & protect it. Compared to my experience using the really cheap chalk paint from big box stores, the quality of this paint is 100x better and well worth the money.

First time chalk painter. I wanted to revamp my 2 IKEA cabinets with little effort. After a google search I arrived at chalk paint. Prepped by cleaning off dust and oils. Then painted. I love the color selection of this brand. I couldn’t decide between grey or beige so Sunday Tea it was for the 8x2 -a perfect combination of both- a greige. After adding crackle I applied Vanilla Frosting. For the 2x2 I started with Fancy Frock, decided it was too light. Painted over with Bliss and then added crackle but I didn’t follow instructions & messed up that up. So I ended up painting over with Fancy Frock, then added crackle, then painted over that with Tropical smoothie. And left it lol. (Warning: if you do the same thing as me the crackle likely won’t work as well as it should due to too many layers of paint 😕) I thought I’d bought 32oz, but I had actually bought 16oz. At $32 it is kind of pricey. However, I did find that this paint did go pretty far as I was able to cover the majority of the 8x2 cabinet. The only part not painted was underneath the top. That said, my goal was not a solid cover of a new color. I wanted the weathered/aged/distressed look so I wasn’t concerned with full coverage on the entire cabinet. Overall, easy to use & clean up was easy with just water. I’m prone to headaches from scent so it having no odor was a bonus. I also like that I’m supporting a small Canadian business with this purchase.

I like how it’s a local company to Vancouver island! Also the colour is great. It’s easy to apply even with never having painted before(me). Don’t let your 3yo help you though, that was foolish. One of the items I painted needed some sanding because of his haphazard approach to painting. It does get thick as you get down in the container but you can add water. I bought the wax too by the same brand which was acceptable. Unfortunately I need to repaint one item as the same 3yo got at it with a bright green dry erase marker. So I will be buying more!

I purchased Sunday Tea & Sage Advice. Sunday Tea is definitely more of a grey tone than beige, just an fiy incase you're hoping for more of a beige. I also received the wrong colour when I ordered Sage. I was sent Jitterbug which I have to say even though it wasn't the correct colour it's still a beautiful shade of blue. It's also worth sharing although Amazon support was no help, the seller Country Chic had great customer service and was able to send me a replacement/the correct paint colour Sage. I love these paint colours, they all paint beautifully, a little goes a long way, great coverage and a really pretty chalky finish.
