Not easy to build, but does the job well
This large caging has done a great job of containing a mother cat and her 4 elder semi-feral and rowdy kittens. Set up was a bit of a pain solo (literally, I was sore after) but doable. Just make sure everything is truly clipped in and check your levels closely before moving onto the next. The provided clips and zip ties are helpful for support but the tiny hammer was completely useless. When I do it again I’ll put a tarp underneath - there are small spaces in between the squares of the floor so spilled water or litter or food will get between and under the base. If you’re routinely entering and exiting, the clips on the door are very annoying but do the job. I’m not a small person, but I can comfortable stand and sit inside after ducking sideways through the door. This would be more difficult if you have mobility limitations. The shelving is useful and convenient to hold food and treats but not solid enough for spray bottles or other cleaning supplies to stand upright on their own. They definitely wouldn’t be sturdy enough for litter. I really like that I can take it all apart and put it away with little storage space necessary and pull it back out when needed vs. caging that is a solid piece - super convenient for an occasional kitten foster with limited space. Would recommend (bring your patience for building) and will use again. I bought some extra hammocks and needed them, the provided hammock broke about a week in after extensive playing and snoozing. If you need to use a large litter box for multiple kitties, there’s really only one spot for it which is right in the middle of the floor due to the stabilizers around the cage floor. This means you can’t easily include a tall scratching post or tower in the space. The cats also had some trouble using the ramps to get from level to level, but figured out how to work around it.

Solid once put together!
I like it. Cat loves it! Gets her outside. We only put her is it when we (my wife and I) sit out on our porch early evening for fresh air and sunsets. We live high up in foothills of Catalina mountains in Tucson AZ. So it is desert SW. But, it took a long time to build . Easily goes together with good instructions. Securing it involves close to 200 zip ties. Should hold up in the Arizona sun for awhile!

Challenging to put together, but awesome once it's done!
I bought this catio kit because I had to take in several of a friend's cats who were semi-feral and could not be integrated into my personal cats' environment. It took three of us about 5 hours to assemble the catio, and we found the "tool" (which we jokingly called Maxwell's silver hammer) to be totally useless. The assembly instructions are just a diagram. We found that a couple of good pairs of pliers were the most effective tools for crimping the panels into the plastic holders. BE SURE TO SECURE EVERY SINGLE JOINT WITH ZIP TIES! And that means you will probably have to invest in additional zip ties. This structure is intended for cats of normal size. The two bruisers you see in the pictures are very chubby cats - like 25 lbs each. This catio was not meant to house chonky cats. They managed to bend & break several panels before I got smart and reinforced the shelves with wood to distribute their weight. Because they are actually living in the catio (as opposed to recreating) I covered the floor with rubber matting to make it easier on their paws and much easier to clean. If these bozos ever get to go home with their Mom, I intend to dismantle the catio and re-construct it on my veranda for my indoor kitties to enjoy. It's been a challenge, but definitely worth the money in spite of the bumps in the road.

Metal bends and breaks easily with assembly
I don't recommend. This is a huge puzzle to put together. It took me and my sister 6.5 hours to put together. You can't push to hard to snap the pieces in the connectors because the metal bends and breaks. I broke a few pieces so I had to not push as hard. Also you can't hammer too hard to try to connect the pieces with the hammer they provided because the plastic connectors will break. So pieces kept popping out and you have to zip tie every connection because pieces pop out as you connect other pieces. Then after zip tie the whole puzzle together with flimsy small zip ties I discover I'm to thick to get in and out of the door on the cage. So if your on the heavier side this kennel isn't recommend because I'm knocking pieces loose from the connectors trying to get in and out of the cage, so the cage is basically being held together by zipties and duck tape because the metal frames that snaped I had to tape together to use the pieces. I weigh 248 so I'm thicker than my sister who weighs 134. My sister was able to walk in and out of the cage ok. This cage is a huge disappointment for me and I can't even use it because I can't get in and out of the cage. I wanted to use it for containment of a cat and keep the litter box and food and water inside the cage. It comes with three hundred zip ties, and you will use every single one.

At first though was good spacious but just keeps coming apart and kittens keep getting out even with the cable ties used they snap easily ok for small kittens dont recommend for young cats

Really nice and quite sturdy when built but the joints easily break. Plenty of spares if needed.

There were so many missing parts. I did what I could but, it was not as big as it should have been have been. Poor product. Very disappointed.
