A cute gift that will have your child outside and ready to dig

Bought for a birthday gift. She was so excited to get. She wanted another popular brand name she saw on TV during cartoon shows she watches. I bought this one because it works in water too. We go to the lake a lot in the warmer weather and we walk the river banks when fishing. She is very excited to learn she can use this one on trips close to the water, the other one she couldn't. She has already found many things with it, including one of her Mom's lost earrings in the backyard, missing for over a year. She feels like a real detective now! Lol

For some reason, my daughter has been begging for a metal detector. This one did not disappoint. Easy to put together out of the box (small screwdriver needed to get into battery-9V, supplied). Length of detector can be adjusted for kids and adults alike (I'm 5' 10"). The metal detector coil is waterproof allowing search into small streams/creeks. The display/buttons are easy to understand after a quick look at the instructions. I wish there was an option to lower the beeping as it is loud and annoying. It does come with headset jack at least. The two included digging tools are great. It has been a great, fun activity for my child.

I gave this toy as a New Year gift to my son who is 5 years old. He had been asking about it for a few months. The metal detector works well and he is happy playing with it. It is well made and the color is vibrant. I hope it lasts a long time. I intend to use it at the beach during summer.
