This product is highly effective. Having experienced strep throat for the first time in 32 years, I sought relief from the severe discomfort. I previously utilized cough drops of the same flavor and a nasal spray from this company, both of which proved to be excellent. Consequently, I decided to try this product. My decision was between this option and a well-known bee-based product. Given my preference for a cost-effective solution with a substantial quantity, I opted to try this one. It offers excellent value for its price, performs as expected, and provides a generous amount per bottle. I personally dilute it in water rather than spraying it directly, as the taste can be somewhat bitter, which I anticipated. Nevertheless, its efficacy is remarkable, rendering my throat numb and pain-free. While it will temporarily numb your mouth, this effect is transient. Worth the buy!!!!

I have THE world's strongest gag reflex, making flossing my back teeth impossible. It's so bad I can't even handle wearing whitening trays or even strips. But, I've been trying to take better care of my teeth/gums. At the dentist, they use a numbing gel on my soft palate to help make it thru a cleaning, and suggested an OTC benzocaine gel. The only problem is that applying the gel is, itself, a trigger, so I can't do it myself. So, I started looking to throat sprays. This was the only affordable non prescription benzocaine containing spray I could find. When first applied, it is pretty powerfully numbing. Really similar to that mildly unpleasant puffy tingly feeling you get from the anesthetics used for fillings. It doesn't 100% stop my gag reflex. But it does make it significantly better, better enough to floss all my teeth. The super intense initial feeling goes away within just a couple minutes. Which, for my purpose, is a good thing. For another good half hour i still feel a little bit of numbing but without any of the unpleasant feelings. Probably enough that I would have adequate pain relief, if I had pain. Probably lasts long enough that I'd be able to get thru eating a quick meal if pain was interfering with eating/talking. The taste is... not pleasant at all. but it's just for a few seconds. Very good value, it's a huge bottle and you can only use 4 sprays per day. I wouldn't use this for a minor throat pain/irritation, dry scratchy throat, it's just too intense and short lived. But it's good to have on hand in case of that rare super intense sore throat or canker sore. And, of course, in my situation I'll be using it pretty frequently.

This tastes horrendous!! But it does work. The menthol is strong for opening the sinuses. I wish I'd known the taste was so bad. It does numb, it works. But wowza. -1 star for the bad taste

Worked great on my sore throat when as opposed to the competition. The relief was very quick and the taste well it’s medicine so how tasty do you expect. But it’s not unbearable like many others.

Did not help with my snoring but would be good for sore throat

goes, it has the most POWERFUL numbing of ANYTHING I have ever tried. Hands down, ear infections, sinus infections, sore throat from pretty much ANYTHING I think, and this is your stuff!! If....... that is, you can get past the terrible taste. It is NOT a cherry I have ever tasted for certain, but ..... it works!! I guess if medicine were meant to taste good, we would call it candy right? I think this is something we may need to get back to! As a kid, EVERYTHING "medicine" tasted so horrible!! But how many kids were rushed to the ER for "OD'ing" on vitamins or medicines back then? Campho phenique! Some of the (still) best stuff on the market for curing bitten lips, bitten tongues, or small oral wounds. But there's so many "other" things out there now, that I hadn't used it for decades until recently. I had forgotten what a wonder cure it was! Even on "Skeeter, bug, and spider bites! Mucinex did some fantastic stuff in this product. I originally began this review, only BECAUSE of the horrible taste. But after considering the above info, it gets ALLLL my Stars!! It's really just THAT magnificent! I can use cherry flavored Chloraseptic every 5 minutes sometimes, as the taste is GREAT.... but .... it truly just doesn't work well enough. NOT TRUE with THIS STUFF! Not only did it CURE my sore throat during COVID, but it helped with the SEVERE pressure and pain in my ear and sinuses. It's THAT GREAT!! And now I just pray that the cost doesn't skyrocket, or they pull it OFF the market, because the Pharm Company see's more $$$ signs.......

This is the best and only throat spray that stops irritation and coughing. Sometimes have to mix with a little water to swish around back of my mouth and throat.
