Holiday/travel essential for the coffee enthusiast
Brilliant piece of kit. Had it for over two years now and it goes on holiday with us every time. No power required just a hand workout to produce a perfect expresso. Well worth the money. Takes up hardly any space. You can use capsules (with the optional attachment or ground coffee with the standard attachment. I use a battery frother to make a perfect latte.

Excellent coffee; good for one or two people.
Makes a lovely double expresso! Better than our Nespresso capsule coffee maker and also one with a plunger. Takes a few minutes longer than the other two but well worth it. The down side is that it does coffees one at a time with opening and emptying in between so not really practical for a dinner party; however, excellent for one or two people, and good on holiday. I imagine also good for hikers and campers providing you have a way of heating water. The instructions advise that you warm the coffee maker before using, but I don't think this is really necessary. Just warm the cup. When you make the double coffee, you will need both hands and a fair bit of energy to pump it, especially if you use Nespresso type capsules. One last point. When you have filled the double expresso tank it is important to hold it still on a horizontal surface to screw the body of the machine onto it. If you don't, I can tell you from experience that very hot water will escape onto your hands! I have enjoyed using this machine and would thoroughly recommend it. Price is reasonable for the quality of coffee, and the engineering that went into its manufacture.

Takes time to perfect
I got this as a space-saving way to make espresso without the need for another machine taking up space in the kitchen. When everything goes right, this pump is capable of producing amazing coffee. However, i've had it for several weeks and I find it to be quite hit and miss. If you use very finely ground espresso coffee, it will jam up and you won't be able to pump it. If you squeeze really hard, boiling hot water will start seeping out of the side of the unit and could burn you. So you have to get your grain size just right. Ideally, you'll need a grinder, so that you can dial in the perfect size of the grain. Once you have perfected the grind size, you'll need to perfect the way you tamp the coffee. If you tamp too hard, you won't be able to pump it. If you tamp too gently, the coffee will just start pouring out after a couple of pumps. I wasted so much coffee trying to find the right balance of grind size and tamping technique. Sometimes I still get it wrong and end up having to start over because it won't pump, or I end up with everything just pouring through the unit. I'd say it's a good device, but there is a learning curve to getting good coffee out of it.

Makes good coffee
Easy to use with a bit of practice,so far I have only used it at home for making latte which tastes very good.I bought the nanopresso so I could make a good coffee while I am out on my bicycle in the summer .It is very light and compact so will be easy to store in my backpack along with a flask of hot water. The nanopresso seems to be very well made and should last a long time with the right care

Poor fit - Basket lids
REALLY disappointed with not just this but also the nanopresso as well. Firstly, as stated in my Nanopresso review, there is no argument you get a good espresso, but the fit of the accessories is really poor. The caps on the additional baskets just fall off, literally nothing holding them on so absolutely no way they could carry grounds unless sat on a shelf, so scores a zero for portability; the very purpose they are sold for. The fit of the cap is marginally better on the single basket but on the double, no chance. The Nanopresso was also surprisingly poor with regard to fit of the cup, just barely secure when clipped on. I would have probably accepted a single issue, but numerous examples of poor fit are more than just quality control problems

Great addition to my Nanopresso!
I bought the Barista Kit for a Nanopresso I received as a gift and have been using it since December. Very satisfied with it. I can have my double espressos anywhere I have access to boiling water. Very handy as well as it does not take up much space and also very handy. I can have two baskets filled with coffee ready to use inside!

Bigger coffees at a price
Essential if you want a larger coffee. However, it would be nice if it was possible to buy this as part of the original pump set. It's a lot of money for a bigger water tank, a couple of larger coffee baskets and the metal ring that makes the pump outlet deeper. Also would be a nice option to have a different colour, being as it's only £15 less than the pump.
