TOPS The Legal Pad Writing Pads, Glue Top, 8-1/2" x 11", Narrow Rule, 50 Sheets, 12 Pack (7529)

I use fountain pens exclusively. I write a lot (I think), 4 to 8 pages almost every day. I was drawn to this paper for the very narrow lines, and it has no left margin line. It’s hard to find paper with both of these features. Is it perfect? No, but I give it 5 stars because because of those features, and it is good with fountain pens. Really wet inks will bleed through, but mostly it just ghosts which I’m okay with. It’s not the only paper I use, but it’s my favorite for letters. UPDATE: I do like this paper, BUT the quality control is horrible. Way too many creases and mistakes with the lines. Today I was throwing away every other sheet. Not acceptable! When this paper was cheap I was willing to accept the poor quality, but at more than $32/12 I won’t. It’s really too bad there’s not a company that makes a quality paper with these features: quality paper, narrow ruled, with no margins. Seems simple, but I’ve yet to find one.

Had ordered a couple of times and liked the fact there were more lines than on other writing pads. However, the quality is no longer good. Most sheets now have very noticeable creases and other irregularities including blue ink smears between the lines. Since I am using these to send out handwritten letters that I want to look nice and presentable, I will no longer be purchasing these as they are not acceptable for the purpose I need them for.

Terrible! I have been buying these pads for years, but my most recent pack of 12 shows a sudden and distressing drop in quality. I don't know if they've changed the glue or what, but these pads do not stay intact. The top several sheets come off immediately, and even further into the pack, it's an issue. I like to take notes on these, turning the pages as I go. But as soon as I flip one of these pages over, it detaches. Useless for my purposes. VERY unhappy. Seems like they took something good and made it bad.

Second time I have ordered these - price has doubled, quality cut in half; cardboard not fully cut, blue lines are bleeding thru to other pads, and the top glue is super thick. Returning.

I've gone through about 8 pads so far. The cardboard back on each of them fell off by the time I got through 2-10 pages. Worst quality pads I've ever used.

The pads are exactly what I need. The problem is every other sheet on the first one I've used has a crease in it. I checked the rest and only 1 of the rest of the pads is ok. The rest of the pads have every other sheet with either a crease or blue ink stained lines on it.

I purchased a [used - very good] version of this item from amazon warehouse. ALL but one pad was completely unglued and pretty much useless to me (see pic. Third pad from left was the only one intact). It was pretty much just a stack of loose legal paper. Terrible!

I was very disappointment when I opened these up and discovered there was not enough glue to hold the paper together in a pad - consequently I have loose paper - not what I want when going to a meeting!
