These sleeves are well made.The material is sturdy, but smooth, with a cool to the touch feel.The cut of the sleeves is long, so you get full arm compression.They are going to be a great choice... if your arms are big enough.While there are always exceptions, these are going to work best for adult males.While I am a fairly athletic lady and I can wear these, they offer me no compression and do not stay up well.I will add that according to the weight guidelines, I am well within the range of people who should be able to wear these, but my weight is not distributed that way.In the end, I can recommend these, provided your arms are large enough to fill them out.That will be the case for most fully grown men, but not every lady and certainly not everyone in the weight range provided on the product page.

I'm about 6', 210lb, not muscular - these fit me just fine. These are the smooth spandex type of fabric - BUT they have cuffs at the top, lined with some sort of rubberized, tacky fabric that helps to keep them from immediately sliding down. That's a touch missing on most products of this type - so color me impressed. Note that they are missing the thumb holes that are common on competing products - I don't think that this is a negative, unless, I suppose, you are caught by surprise by it - so now you know.I got them for sun protection whilst doing outdoorsy stuff - hiking, kayaking, and so forth (I just cannot tolerate sunscreen/greasy stuff on my skin). I suppose the real test is whether they effectively block the sun - we'll see.
