Beautiful, time consuming and amazing kit for determined HP fan!
This was a great kit but PLEASE check ALL supplies, page by page, bead by bead AND measure the wires. I was short a complete Ziploc of many beads and a few from other packets so I made a return/replacement. A few tips: work over something with edges like a cookie sheet as small items can roll onto floor or jump out of your fingers (I lost the wall lantern book but cut a replacement from leftover green wood), tweezers and reading glasses are a must, also my set of mini assorted pliers was quite helpful, read ahead to see what all can be glued together while waiting on dry time before next steps, scoring fold lines helps a lot before folding small items. I used an odd bit of Styrofoam block, made small holes in it for my curled up scrolls to keep their shape overnight, also stuck a couple different sized large tapestry needles (toothpicks might work) into block to balance some beads while gluing metal bits on top. If painting the green store parts edges, do so before assembly, think before assembling some groups of décor as instructions (which are truly very good) sometimes make it hard to install items without difficulty (I applied the interior wall frames before the lower cabinet). I had to use a hot glue gun to get the wire handles to stay on the black cabinet, white glue was useless. Definitely sand all wooden breakaway edges by placing sandpaper on flat surface and rub against it a few times. I used an X-acto knife to help cut through wood connections as simply trying to pop pieces out rarely worked and be especially careful in removal of the black screen pieces which are very fragile (I had a bit crack apart). My white glue didn’t work well gluing down the paper edges around the large wood walls/bases so I used extra sticky wood glue that dried quickly. I had issues with the two finished sides lining up properly before attaching the hinges as the front side didn’t meet quite to the edge as needed so I glued a spare green wood spindle from the front display window set to make up the difference (it can’t be seen unless looking for it). The white tubing that goes over the lights seems too small and some of the lights were too large so a lot of pushing is involved to assemble and some splitting may sadly happen. Instead of cutting a hole in the black cabinet to run lamp wires I simply ran them underneath since cabinet doesn't touch the floor. I installed the hanging books/lights section before hinging large sections together. Also glued small bits of velcro to edges of battery assembly backside cabinet to allow easy battery replacement. And sometimes things just don’t glue up straight but that will add to the quirkiness of this fun kit! TMI, I know!

Awesome to build
This is not for people who are in a rush. It’s bigger than most book nooks it needs a lot of time and attention to details.

Book nook
I love this. I just wish the instructions were a little more clear. But over all it’s great and a lot of fun.

SO MUCH DETAIL!
This is a larger scale than I normally do. They claim 1:24, but I don't promise that. This kit is just adorable. There is so much detail, you don't even know where to look! Unlike some kits, this one is beautiful from every angle, including the back. This house had a lot of wood pieces, not too much paper craft, so a nice high quality! As you can see, once I completed the wiring, which is challenging, I cannot close the door to hide the battery box, too many wires in there. This doesn't actually bother me, though, because the kit is so freaking cute! All the pieces were there and the instructions were easy to follow. It was a lot of fun!

Fun but requires patience and time.
Very fun project. You do have to read the fabrication instructions carefully as some of them are not written/ worded correctly. Not sure if they had to be translated to English or not as some of the items also have an Asian language on them. The punch outs of the wood items can be difficult and may break when getting out if your not careful. Tools kits for things like twizzers or mini screw drivers are not included. Model kits work well for the tools you need. Glue is also not included. Make sure you get something that doesn't wrinkle paper and dries clear. I tried two different brands and both worked fine. One just didn't dry clear and you can tell. Beginners can do this if they are patient however, I highly encourage to prefabricate your items before applying glue to anything. This was my very first model house and it went well except the part of wiring the lights at the end. If your not the greatest at stripping wires and re winding them to ensure a good fit for the power supply to be fully hidden. Ask someone or YouTube it. Start to finish, with other life obligations here and there. This build took me the better part of 4 days. I had 1 major set back with the electrical taking me the longest as I cut a few wires way to short.

Wasted Time on a defected Project
I was looking forward to building this during the holiday break. However, while I was working on each step, I noticed several issues. This kit came with defected pieces that wouldn't fit correctly. Then I was missing parts which I didn't find out until I was on the step. Finally directions were are poorly written that didn't provide much guidance or clear labeling. Had to use super glue on a couple of steps since tacky glue wasn't cutting it. If you are going to do any of these model kits I would recommend looking at other online retails such as NookTales for better quality.

Very Entertaining and Nice Result
VERY challenging, take it slow. Lighting wiring is very intricate but very rewarding. Terrific result.

A wonderful set!
I bought this as gift (from me to me) at the end of the school year for a little craft project to relax with. This is a precious set. I loved putting it together. The details were just adorable. I loved all of the tiny little pieces and parts and making them. If you are into anything Harry Potter related, magic related, etc. you will love this - though I would say that it isn't just for anyone into that. If you like miniatures, this is for you.

Amazing detail and quality. Not easy but a lot of fun. This was my 10th book nook and by far and away the best one.

I have just finished this kit and learned a lot of patience along the way. It probably took me around 50 hours to complete allowing for glue to dry and being only able to complete small parts along the way and allowing to set before continuing. It is great fun to assemble by model enthusiasts but there are many things to be aware of when thinking about purchasing 1.This is not a kit to buy for children or young people to assemble. It is extremely fragile with many tiny parts. I broke many bits during assembly and had to fix along the way. This is also not a model to make yourself and give to a child who happens to like Harry Potter ..they will break it very quickly due to the delicacy of all the very small and fragile parts. 2. The glue provided is bright green and shows on everything if it oozes out...I changed to white glue that dries transparent which worked well 3. When popping out the wooden bits from the sheets use a Stanley knife to assist in breaking the joins...any force will break it. 4. really understand how the model works before assembling...I didn't think to put the front and back of the buildings on the very edges of the bases and set them but back around 5mm and now they don't join as there is a large gap so I need to figure out another option. 5. the dust cover comes in four pieces of perspex and I tried gluing them together to form the case which didn't work. I still cannot work out how it is to be assembled 6. I used a magnifying glass and tweezers to assemble many parts as they were too small to hold by my fingers I very much enjoyed this activity and love the final product. Im a converted enthusiast and have ordered a bunch more. its very enjoyable but takes time and a lot of patience.

Updated: Finished about 20hrs, it is a pretty interesting but not an easy DIY house. Sometimes cannot glue it really well, and sometimes cannot stick it to the right place according to the booklet. Overall, no missing pieces, and great for money. ————————————————————— received and opened the box, every part looks good. But did not find the glue inside. Just finished 3 small parts, looks very good and enjoy the process very much! Will update the pic after finish it.
