So far, so very good
Highlights: * crisp image; * accurate touch; * 16:10 aspect ratio; * touch functionality worked with minimal fuss on MacOS I use this monitor in a music production home studio, where I mounted it on VESA-compatible arm*, hovering over a MIDI controller. I connect it to a Mac Studio and use touch to control Logic Pro, plug-ins and AxeEdit III. It works really well for this application. I am able to adjust plug-in and AxeFX parameters with simply a touch and without much fuss. And the vTouch suite seems sufficiently powerful for me to add a couple of quality of life improvements (e.g. multi-finger gestures for VESA Mounting: because this is a portable monitor, it doesn't have VESA mounting facilities. The portable cover is cool, and I didn't want to lose this functionality, so I just used some adhesive metal plates and mounted neodymium magnets the VESA receiver bracket. Mags are strong and monitor is light enough to make this a sufficiently sturdy solution.

Pretty darned good for a cheap 2nd monitor
I needed a second monitor at work because the old Dell I brought in won't connect to the new Asus all in one computer. I did not get the fancy "touch screen" type, just the regular version. I haven't taken this to work yet, but I've tested it out here at home on both my newer laptop and older-than-dirt PC. It was instantly detected and worked beautifully right from the start on both. I'm a little surprised that the manual it comes with it says nothing about anything. I guess that means it will just turn on when I plug it in (which it did), and will go off when I unplug it (which it also did). But there's apparently a battery in the thing, which means it has to charge somehow. If you're not using the USB C to USB C that comes with it, I'm not sure how you're supposed to charge it. I've gone ahead and purchased a USB C to USB 3.0 so I can plug it into my extended USB ported power bank. I'm hoping that will work as the ports on the work computer are full. Never ending drama. LOL Anyhoo, size is excellent, weight is almost non-existent it's so light. Picture is pretty darned good considering it looks exactly like the picture on my MSI gaming laptop. I'll have to update this review after I get it to work, but for now, I'm loving it!

The negative reviews are mostly user error
Bought in 2022 I use this monitor as a 2nd monitor while full screen gaming on my main monitor. Great for managing voice chat, and web browsing while in game. Great glass monitor. After reading all the negative reviews I thought I'd shed some light on the "issues". HDMI only carries picture and sound data, windows will assign a generic monitor driver. If you want touch screen the monitor must be plugged in also with USB. To configure the touchscreen to work properly you must go to windows display and configure the monitor, it will default to being a touch screen FOR the main monitor. Not all usbC are created the same, I have intel integrated graphics with thunderbolt. With this I can run my main monitor with my gpu, and this secondary monitor off of the integrated gfx with just 1 thunderbolt from the computer to the viewsonic touch screen. No hdmi or separate USB power. In summary most negative reviews are user error.

Touchscreen for a Mac
I've used this with my MacBook, and with my Mac Mini. Provides touch screen access to a Mac, but you do need to load a driver for that. Nice, bright, clear screen. More than a little pricey, but I am getting my money's worth out of it.

Good productivity monitor, not ideal for media
I like this portable monitor overall. The screen resolution is solid for productivity tasks like documents, spreadsheets, and general work, and it performs well as a second monitor while working on the go. I wouldn’t recommend it for media consumption — colors and contrast are fine for work, but not something I’d choose for movies or entertainment. The built-in speakers work, but they wouldn’t be my first choice for audio. One small drawback is that I wish the USB-C cable were a bit longer, though it still works fine for my setup. Overall, it’s a reliable, portable second monitor that does exactly what I need for mobile productivity.

GREAT Add-On Screens! I Bought Two of the Touchscreen Models
I bought TWO - the first for an Apple MacBook Pro (M1); the second for an ASUS ZenBook Windows 10 computer. 1. The Apple connection was easy - NOTE: you should plug the ViewSonic into a power source, then connect the ViewSonic to the MacBook Pro (M1). That way, the ViewSonic provides the sole power (initially to the ViewSonic and then through the USB-C PD cable to the MBP-M1 (make SURE you get a cable rated for 65W or above (I use a 100W cable and things work as expected)). Connecting this way is important as if frees up the second USB-C port on the MBP-1A for anything else you want to connect (I have a USB-C hub and four hard drives connected (this all at the same time as the ViewSonic is connected)). 2. The ASUS took a bit more finagling - however, if you set the resolution correctly for the Mouse Screen, you can actually have all three screen available (ViewSonic, ASUS laptop screen and Mouse screen) at the same time. I have all my ViewSonic's positioned "above" my laptop screens. 3. It is important to understand the screens are set to 50% on all settings when right out of the box. This initially makes the screen look washed out. HOWEVER - by simply access the built-in ViewSonic adjustment menu (available by pushing the button on the back of the screen), you can increase both the brightness and contrast to mimic your portable screen (if necessary). These two screens are awesome on the road - they are thin but sturdy and pack/travel well, easy to set up, and the touch screen works as advertised with the appropriate drivers downloaded and installed. I've even used them with an iPad Pro - and as with all things connected to an Apple computer - they simply work! Can you tell I really enjoy the versatility these monitor/screen give me?

connect to lightning bolt usb
works great now that i figured it out, but took me a while so only 3 stars. to make it run on my laptop, it must be plugged into the USB C with the lightning bolt on my laptop. plugging into other USB crashed my computer, caused glitches, made the computer very slow. suspect it was due to inadequate power from other USB outlets

Works very well as it advertises. We like it very much.
I just bought on On Thanksgiving. I received it on 11/29. I have being using it since then. It works very well as it advertises on Amazon. Great quality. Sharp display and color is very nice to us. 10 points screen gesture works for computer very well, but not for cell phone 15. It has 2 speaker. OK sound quality. But, this helps lot when we connect it to our Iphone 15.
