Useful
This incentive spirometer for adults is very good because it performs its function perfectly, just as its description says, since it is a breathing exercise device for lungs, a deep breathing trainer for children and adults.

Everything you expect and need in a spirometer.
At first I didn't realize I had one of these hoses going nowhere. But common sense and looking at it solved that quickly. Working with it isn't fun, but that's just the way these things are. I mean it's excercise. Right? More importantly it's slow but steady I think I'm holding the ball up a little longer day to day. So it's helping.

Simple But Effective Breathing Exerciser
I ordered the KSWEGKC Spirometer on Amazon in hopes of improving my lung capacity to where it was even a few years ago. I just don ‘t have the lung capacity I did even a few summers ago despite regular aerobic exercise. I ordered in hopes regular exercising with the Spirometer will have me up again to competing in the pool with my mermaid granddaughters. The KSWEGKC Spirometer is similar to similar breathing tests I’ve encountered at hospitals, only larger and with a slant toward exercise rather than simply measurement. The setup out of the box was simple and intuitive though there are a set of instructions included which are straightforward. Once set up, the confusing part is the actual use of the exercise system. Fortunately, there are several videos related to this product on Amazon in the product description covering setup and basic use. You need only to place the mouthpiece fully between your lips and fully INHALE for as long as you can. The main chamber has the capacity to track your breathing effort in milliliters in order to track results and progress, while the left is motivational as you try and keep the ball at the smiley face for as long as possible. There are two unhappy faces and one happy face in the middle. I’m guessing that these unhappy faces are to better keep your breathing deep and regular rather than shallow or too quick. I do have a few concerns with this breathing exerciser. For instance, it would have been nice to have an incorporated time keeping device of some sort in this breathing system as it gets busy trying to track the milliliter, smiley face positioning, and time all at the same time. Additionally, considering the simplicity of the device, it seems somewhat expensive compared to other breath exercisers, though there aren’t many I could find currently online. Overall, I’m happy with the Spirometer and can feel a difference in my lungs already. It’s simple but it seems to work, even after only a couple of minutes per session. I’d order again and fully expect to see positive results next summer when I leave those smart-alecky girls sputtering in my wake when next we race!

Defective
Defective. I tried to use it for weeks until I figured out it had a manufacturing defect. Total waste of money.

My pulmonologist recommended it but my primary doctor urged me to get one!
Great device to use to strengthen your breathing. Who knew? Complained to myself of the cost for such a plastic apparatus but from using it for awhile and that my lung has improved much with stronger breathing. It's all worth it! Ask yourself, are you lungs worthy to be better? If yes, then please get this device to help your breathing. It works and hopefully you won't need a Pulmonologist & Primary doctor to nudge you to buy it. Just do it!!!
