Been using this on a new machine for 2 yeas and I can say it works

I was so late to the machine cleaning game. I had this horrid, black plague type substance in my drawer and drum and even after doing a machine clean with some disappointing chemical product, white vinegar and soda and a lot of boring hand cleaning, there was still a grim smell and black staining left behind. And a large Red ❌ on my front door. Our clothes didn’t smell like fabric softener anymore and had this grim musky smell and I was losing all self-respect to be quite honest. So I read about Calgon and ordered some. Pretty much straight away, I noticed a difference. It was like I’d been washing our clothes in river water because using Calgon completely changed the feel and smell of our clothes. I’m ashamed. So, I recommend this item 100% I found that using Calgon with an oxy powder enhances the effectiveness of both. Am I late to that too? I have a 2 monthly subscription to this seller for this item and I’m happy with both the seller and the product. My only tiny issue is, sometimes the Calgon tablet doesn’t break down. Maybe because I have a compact machine? I tried the powder which is also excellent but I was giddy with the measurements and used a full box in a week. Excellent product. Great seller. Plague gone.

I used to always buy a supermarkets brand of these tablets. I ran out one day and I don’t know why but suddenly forgot about them! Anyway, recently, my washing machine has been smelling. I tried everything: A very hot wash, with bleach. Washing machine cleaners etc but it still smelt. Then, I suddenly thought of Calgon and wondered if this would help. Well, since purchasing these, the smell has gone! Plus, I want to protect my washing machine and so will continue to purchase these from now on. I think Calgon are probably the best and these were less than half the price from a supermarket! I’m very pleased! Finally, I had read some reviews which stated that the tablets don’t always dissolve and that some remains in the drawer. This happened to me a few times but I’ve started to put them at the front of the drawer (nearest me) and not at the back and they have dissolved completely.

Help with hard water cleaner machines

It really does help from hard water buildup

I honestly can't tell if this is softening the hard water here in central FL. But I use it, along with detergent, Borax, and Super Washing Soda when laundering towels. And now I'm adding diluted citric acid in the rinse. I had specifically bought if for some new, scratchy towels, but it did not make them any softer. As far as keeping something soft that's already soft, I can't speak to that.

I am pleased with the product.
