Recently, there was a wild dog shown in my neighborhood that has attacked my neighbor’s dog, which made me worried about both my dog and my own safety when walking my dog. So, I decided to purchase this prod for added protection. The fact that it’s rechargeable with long standby time is perfect, especially since I don’t have to worry about constantly replacing batteries. It’s always ready to go when I need it. The build quality feels solid and rugged and gives me a huge sense of security while having this prod with me during walks.

Stickers were crooked and the handle looks cheap, but the button activates reliably. The rod has just a little bit of flex but the prod discharges a powerful shock. I picked up this cattle pride to keep aggressive dogs in check if encountered on my evening walks. The charge rate is a little slow, at just 10W, but the battery is a good size. The energy released from the prod appears to be rather potent, probably 4K to 8K watts, and continues to shock after the initial hit. The battery cover screws on securely and has a silicone ring to prevent water ingress. As long as it holds up, it's a great value for around $50.

Battery is not functioning. Will not charge. Dead out the box. That maybe it's solo enterprise about dated battery. Don't buy it

Wouldn't recommend it if using it for dogs. Mine tour rite into the PVC tube.

This prod will shock the heck out of your cattle and sheep but the build quality, particularly the handle, is questionable. Thin, cheap plastic on the handle does not give me hope this prod can be used daily. The handle is so thin it actually flexes when gripped. Charged up quickly and was a little tricky getting it to work for the first time. I though it was defective at first. Comes with zero instructions. 3 stars
