This is really the only second healthiest option available, other than vegetarian and vegan foods. Half a can provides 12 grams of protein. Yes, it is similar to canned tuna, but without the fishiness. Could it remind you a bit of canned cat food? Possibly but it's way better than tuna if you ask me. I have trouble with my nose detecting "wet dog smell" when it comes to after tastes/smells from dairy and meat. This doesn't really have that, if it does, it's very subtle. Yes, it tastes like a canned item. So what. The chicken is fine ground and pressed into a very compressed pate' so if that is not your thing, you might avoid this. I personally am very grateful for having a low sodium source of pure protein that has nothing else added. It is excellent mixed into salads/pastas, "tuna salad" sandwhiches, and frittatas!

Definitely good chicken. It's just too expensive for everyday use.At least for me. I don't think it has as much flavor as costco.Canned chicken, and I don't like the texture as well either. If money were no object, I would probably buy this instead of the costco chicken.Just because it's organic

I liked that they are organic, and have no salt added, but when I received them through home delivery, both cans were dented. I used one and gave the other to a friend to enjoy. I love getting my groceries delivered to my home, but the shopper who gathered my items does not have the time to inspect each product as I would have, had I done it myself.

Not even remotely what was expected, or described. As a chef, with close to 20 years experience, I can say unequivocally, this did not taste like roasted chicken breast. Best descriptor would have been, "Very dry, ground, chalky canned protein substance - with a hint of chicken, and can flavors added." The liquid absolutely needed to be drained, as it tasted and smelled like canned tuna. Nowhere in the description did it say, "ground." So, opening to the dry paté/ pudding substance where chicken should have been, was already disappointing. Then there was the smell, one only reminiscent of canned tuna. This might be the closest thing to "Canned 'chicken' of the sea," that anyone has come up with. The dryness of the meat, was cloying, and parched the palate unlike any canned meat has ever done. Anyone notice the stark lack of fat in the container?? Chicken breasts, unless scrubbed clean of all connective tissue (lipids, cartilage, blood, etc...) always have some fats remaining in the cooked product. I suppose industrial roasting in a sterile environment may be the excuse for this, but a bit of the connected fat on a breast would actually aid in retaining moisture. But then, so would leaving the chicken in pieces that resemble Meat. Spam gets closer to that texture than this product. Nowhere on the can, or the box, was the ground and tasteless descriptor. The only descriptor that remains accurate, and valid: 'You will never taste canned chicken like this... [and] boneless, skinless.' If you have any intent on enjoying this product, I suggest it be added to ANOTHER item, dish, or protein as a filler. It Must be enjoyed with something else, unless you have severed your olfactory nerve (CN-I,) or have a severely impaired palate. Perhaps you recently suffered a stroke, and find that everything tastes like eggs Benedict, or gilded bacon... in which case, enjoy! When combined with fresh, grilled chicken, copious amounts of aioli and hot sauce - it was palatable, but I could still taste the can, and feel the grit of the powdered meat substance. Unless you have an allergy to fish, stick to tuna as your canned protein.
