A Quality Brand With a Solid Reputation
For starters, I've always been a Panasonic fan. I did a lot of research before settling on this TV. I bought it to replace a 48" LG-C3 OLED, which I had for 18 months and realized I preferred a 55" screen. Price wise, you can't do better for the same class of an OLED. The build quality is excellent. I don't find the image too dark as what some are saying. I never get direct sunlight, and I prefer watching in a dim to dark room anyway. Even when I have on my overhead halogens, the picture is fine. The settings are good right out of the box, but I did have a friend come over who is a tech wiz and he help me set up my Apple TV to it - and the settings DO matter on that device if you want the brightest and sharpest image. Remember, it all depends on what content you are watching and how it was mastered. I do prefer my Apple TV over the Fire TV OS, but it's just my preference. Fire TV works just fine. I have a Sonos soundbar connected to it which works great, however when switching inputs there tends to be a lag of up to 30 seconds before the sound and screen "coordinate" with each other, resulting in a black screen and no sound. When not using the soundbar, there is no lag when switching inputs. Could be different with other soundbar brands. The TV speakers are pretty decent for a TV, but not in the same league as a good soundbar. Movies look superb on the screen, and I watch a lot of older content and the upscaling is amazing. Sure, I could have spent 2K + for a brighter model, but I wasn't looking for that price range so I'd say the Z85 is a pretty safe bet with a company that has a good solid reputation.

FANTASTIC!
Great build quality, excellent picture accuracy with ample fine tuning adjustments allowing for multiple personalized settings. All of this at a more than reasonable price point makes this one of the best choices if you are looking for a quality OLED television.

Panasonic, wow!!! ❤️
Just had my new Panasonic Z85 OLED 65” TV delivered and set up by Amazon Delivery. It is replacing a ten year old Samsung. Out of the box with no adjustments and streaming from an Apple TV, the picture looks AMAZING!!!! It is bright and vibrant with great and natural looking colors. I included a picture but it does NOT do this tv justice. It truly is a sharp and beautiful picture! Awesome quality! This picture looks better than the LG and TLC tvs I saw at Best Buy. I highly recommend this TV! ❤️❤️❤️ Note: some have said the picture is not as bright as other tvs but IT LOOKS FANTASTIC! I’m watching it next to a window at 3:00 in the afternoon and reflections are very minimal. I don’t notice any reflections really unless I look for them. Again, the picture I posted with this review really doesn’t do this tv justice. Buy this and don’t think twice! It’s Panasonic so it’s built great, looks beautiful, and it comes with a great little sound system on the back of it with just enough bass to enjoy but not wake the neighbors. 😍😍😍 LOVE IT!!!!!

Excellent value WOLED, with some minor flaws
Awesome OLED TV, just with a few flaws. The picture quality and upscaling are incredible for the value. Especially being $1,100 (65) on sale and can hit all the major HDR modes. Just be aware there is no DTS passthrough. The biggest gripe I have with this TV is the only Dolby Vision modes are vivid, IQ, and dark. Which ultimately means if you watch any DV content during the day, you’re either stuck with an overly saturated picture via Vivid mode or an accurate picture that is just way too dark. I’ve tried everything to get the picture brighter in Dolby Vision Dark/IQ, it just is what it is. Otherwise the various picture modes are great, especially cinema, filmmaker and professional1 if calibrated correctly. Just be sure to turn up the brightness, contrast and high luminance or else this tv can be too dark during the day. Also, Fire TV can get a bit buggy, and the earc can have some issues unless you ensure a proper handshake between the tv and your audio device. I’ve had sound drop too many times until I factory reset my AVR. If you are willing to live with limited Dolby vision modes and prepare to address some bugs here and there, this is an awesome TV and well worth the value. I would compare it in between the B4/C4 and the Bravia 8. Highly recommend pairing with a streaming box like AppleTV or Nvidia Shield Pro because I notice the FireTV OS downscales content quite a bit.

Great quality priced right
The picture sharpness and color quality is excellent. I am able to do without my Roku device. It is very easy to add apps. The user interface is easy to navigate. Excellent value for the money. I have had excellent experiences with Panasonic reliability with past electronics (TVs, microwaves…)

Major Hassle and Headache
Most of my review and rating revolves around the seller. It took three attempts to receive a functioning tv. The first arrived with a cracked screen, and the second wouldn't turn on. The seller (Beach Camera) helped but made it more inconvenient than it had to be. They wouldn't just send a replacement, I had to place a whole new order as well as return the defective tv and wait for the refund. When I finally received my tv and it worked, the price had gone down and I asked to price match, the seller refused. This was an incredible inconvenience and hassle. As for the TV, the picture quality is great, just a little darker than I imagined, even after adjusting the settings. Also hate the Amazon Fire interface on the television. Solid tv if you find it for the right price, just beware of ordering it through Beach Camera
