Myard 29 Inches Classic Hollow Round Iron Deck Balusters for Deck Railing Porch (50-Pack, Matte Black)

I used these baluster connectors to do over 80' of cedar railing. They closely match the diameter of the 3/4" aluminum balusters. It is important to source straight lumber for railings as any vertical difference along the board will be evident along the rail panel. Metal balusters in particular will vibrate as you walk along the deck if loose. Remember to space connectors in compliance with local building codes. Less than 4" locally. I found it easiest to cut my rails to length and then use a pair of wood clamps to hold the rails together and measure for the placement of the connector pairs on the top and bottom rails. I recommend predrilling with 1/8" drill bit to lessen the chance of splitting. To calculate the quantity you will need for 4" spacing you can use 4.8 connectors per linear foot of railing. 2.4 per foot for each top and bottom railing. I had zero product failures during the install. The screws are robust and I only stripped one screw head during the project. I threw that screw in a tub of water and it did not show any evidence of rust after a week.
