Sweet!
I am a watch nut. However, though I have written many product reviews on Amazon, and many of those reviews were about watches that I have collected, I have not written any reviews about Invicta watches because I have been reluctant to buy them until recently. That was because the one experience I previously had with Invicta was a watch that I purchased in 2001 that had a failed movement that needed to be replaced within a year of purchase. I coupled that experience with all of the bad reviews written by 'watch snobs' on watch websites and concluded that Invicta was probably a brand that I could live without. That was until I saw this gem on Amazon. It was so striking in appearance that I was immediately drawn to it. In fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it, and soon pulled the trigger. Like so many other manufacturers, Invicta patterned a group of diver watches after the Rolex Submariner and this is one of those 'clones.' However, I soon found out that this was not just another Rolex wannabe, but an offering that truly stood on its own legs. This watch is bold, big and hefty, so if you have small wrists or not accustomed to lugging a small hunk of solid metal on your arm, this might not be the watch for you. Though this watch may bear some resemblance to the aforementioned Rolex Submariner, closer inspection reveals some real differences. The dial face is substantially large, but not overly so as are some of the almost cartoonish and garish, large Invictas that I often see in watch shop windows. The band is thick and the case is super sturdy. Invicta customarily emblazons its name on the side of the watch case, but they go one step further on this model and place the words 'Grand Diver' on the crown side of the watch, which is a nice touch. The Invicta Grand Diver logo is displaced on the face, the crown and on opposing ends of the case; giving the grand diver a distinctive character. Some others may feel the 4 logos are a bit over the top, but I don't find them to be a distraction or annoyance. Your tastes may dictate otherwise. This watch uses the Seiko NH35A movement, which is a 24-jewel automatic movement that is known to be very reliable and solid. Seiko (along with Bulova, Orient and Citizen) is a manufacturer that I have turned to time and again because they are reliable and low-cost, and therefore represent high value at a modest cost point. The sweep of the second hand is smooth, though the stops are easily perceptible as it circumnavigates the dial face. The lume is negligible after only an hour, so if that is a big thing for you, this watch may not serve your needs. The caseback provides the observation window through which you can see the mechanism operating, which has become more or less standard for automatics in recent years. The band and clasp are heavy and sturdy; not unlike the treads of an M1 Abrams tank. The date magnifier is a nice because my eyes aren't what they used to be. The overall styling, look and feel of this watch tells you time and again that this is a man's watch with brass cojones, in case you forget...which isn't likely. I cannot yet say that this is a reliable timepiece as I haven't had sufficient time to observe, but I can say that I have high hopes and expectations. If so, I may consider adding another Invicta to my collection in the future. So far, this seems to be a great offering and a steal at this price point and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone

Stunning and Beautiful ! I love this Grand Divers Watch with its incredibly accurate AUTOMATIC Seiko NH35A Movement
I absolutely LOVE this Invicta Grand Diver Watch Model Number 3047. I am new to the Invicta Enthusiast Movement. This past Christmas I received my first Invicta Big Faced Watch from my son. It was a Stainless Steel Watch with Blue and Black face and bezel (Model Number 20478). I LOVED having a Big Faced Watch at that point and within the past 2 months, I have purchased 3 more Invicta Big Faced Watches and love each one. I now have a total of 4 Invicta watches and I will most likely be buying more. They are just such beautiful machines that I love wearing. This Stainless Steel Automatic Grand Diver Model 3047 with its Green Bezel and Black face is so stunning. The contrasting colors make reading the time on this watch a breeze. It is not cluttered with intrusive designs or dials and it is not too big at 47mm. With that being said, it is much larger than any Timex or Casio or Seiko that I have ever owned yet I have 2 more Invicta's that are actually larger at 50mm. This Model 3047 has a 47mm case. So it is a little bit smaller than my others. The magnifier on on the dial window is an addition that is much appreciated as you get older. The dial window is made of a durable Mineral Crystal. The hands and time indicator marks have a luminescence that actually does glow in the dark. Unlike many other watches that I've owned. The band bracelet was very easily sized with very inexpensive tools that you can obtain over the internet sites. I re-sized my watch band myself and I am not a jeweler or watch repair person. It came out perfect with no struggle at all. The Green color is not loud, vivid or trendy. It is quite classy and adds just a splash of color to subdue any boringness that become the norm with the run-of-the-mill ordinary silver add black watch that everyone has. The Stainless Steel watch case is has a partial satin finish and a partial polished mirror finish. The case has the really cool Divers Helmet molded into the stainless steel case at both the top and bottom. This signifies that it really is a genuine divers watch and is capable of withstanding dive depths of approximately 1000 feet. Although most of us will never dive to those depths and the rest of us will never dive at all, the dive depth rating signifies the durability of this watch. And we “all” want a product that is as durable and tough as possible. This watches bracelet is another work of art. The center links have a mirror polished finish and the outer links have a satin finish. Very Classy and contrasty. I Love It ! The Green Bezel actually does rotate in one direction only. This is to monitor air supply for the real divers that use this watch for its actual intended purpose. There are videos and instructions all over the internet that explain how to use a watch bezel. Very easy. My VERY Favorite feature of this watch is that it incorporates the VERY RELIABLE and very accurate Japanese made Automatic Seiko Movement – The Seiko Movement Model Number is: NH35A – Yes this watch has the beautiful styling of Invicta and it also has the reliable Seiko Movement.....In case you didn't know, an Automatic Movement never needs a battery replacement because it does not operate on battery power. The motion and movement of your wrist is what winds this accurate watch up. You can also wind the watch by hand by turning the crown. So I guess you can consider it a hybrid ? I'm not sure, but that makes sense to me. Speaking of the incredible Seiko Automatic Movement, the watch manufacturer did not want to hide this special feature from you or your admirers, so engineered into the back of the watch is an Exhibition Back which actually has a window on the back of the case to view the decorated yellow pendulum swinging back and forth to wind your watch. Again, no boringness here. Lots to look at and admire about your new watch. Another very nice feature of this beautiful watch is that it has a screw down crown. This is one of the reasons it is rated to dive so deep. Because screwing down the crown stem actually seals things up more effectively than pressing it in. With this watch, you can actually stop the second hand so that you can adjust the time to the exact second. This Grand Divers watch with its black face and green bezel is not heavy at all. In fact, it wears so much more comfortably than any of my lightweight and small Timex watches. Yes it is much larger and much heavier than your normal sized watch, but the way the case and high quality bracelet was engineered makes for a very comfortable fit and the weight and size is actually un-noticable. I am NOT a large man. My wrist diameter is 7 inches to 7 and a half inches. So I have attached pictures of this watch and what it looks like on my 7 to 7.5 inch wrist. In my opinion, it fits and looks perfectly. The style these days is the Big Faced Watch. So this size is very attractive. Wear this Beautiful Watch with a pair of jeans or wear it with a Black Suit to a business Meeting or a Wedding. This is a stunning piece of jewelry. Hopefully I have addressed all of your concerns or questions that you may have had. In case I may have missed something, I have added a few pictures to my review so that you can see exactly what the product I have received is like without viewing some modified, or professionally photo-shopped images that make the product appear like more than what you will receive. These attached pictures are raw out of my point-and-shoot camera with no editing at all. So enjoy ! Can you please do me a favor ? If you have simply enjoyed reading my review or If my attached pictures and description has helped you in any way, could you PLEASE mark my review as "Helpful" please. I would REALLY Appreciate that and it helps encourage me to keep writing reviews of my purchases… Thanks :-) . . .

This is my 3rd Invicta. I first got onto them with a $99 special that I loved the quality of. Back then I wasn’t savvy enough to check the seconds lost or gained per day before unwrapping the watch from packaging. I was just lucky. Was lucky on this 3rd one as well. It looks really good, weighs enough that you know it’s on your wrist and something I haven’t seen in many reviews on watches but comfort is important since it’s going to be in your body the good part of your waking hours. This watch fits my wrist well and really comfortable to wear. I was lucky in that this one gains about 4 sec a day. That good as after a week I just hack the second hand to stop it and let real time catch up. My movement is enough to keep it wound up. The glass has scratched once but it’s small and not noticeable. So it’s not sapphire crystal quality but for $159 I am amazed at the value. I’ve taken into the sea a few times and it’s water tight. Just swimming and splashing about. I rinsed it immediately afterwards at the beach rinse off taps. The bracelet is durable and looks good. Easy to adjust to size (2 links off one side and 1 link off other for me - see pic). It has scratched a minor bit around clasp but the main body of the watch is still pristine (after about 3 weeks). At the end of the day it’s my EDC. If 2 of my family members have commented on it then that’s notable! I have to many watches already but if it came up at this price again - I’d buy another one as a gift!

I researched this watch for my Christmas treat to myself after I watched a lot of Invicta videos on the Grand Diver range. I've never ever considered an automatic watch or the Invicta brand before but the stand out looks of this model caught my eye. Upon receiving and wearing this Grand Diver I was not disappointed with this timepiece, I just love the yellow coloured face dial and the smooth movement of the second hand, it's a chunky design which suits a real divers watch look and I also purchased when it was at a super low price! The 'Invicta' and 'Grand Diver' side case inscriptions plus the divers helmet branding on the face and stainless steel watch band makes this a stand out piece of timekeeping beauty, the price was a third cheaper than some of the bigger branded automatics so it wasn't too much of a hit to the wallet. The large diameter and height doesn't look out of place on my slim 7" sized wrist. Suprisingly it's very comfortable to wear and doesn't feel too heavy even after a long day of use. This divers watch is presented in a nice large yellow ripple shell padded case with warranty and instructions and it keeps an acceptable good time, the one I received gains a few seconds a day but I knew that automatics can either lose or gain time. If you don't wear the watch for more than two days then it will stop, so you do have to wind it a good 25 to 30 times with the crown unscrewed just to make it run for another day. I will never really use this watch for diving to three hundred metres, but for every day use it's a real 'looker' and I just love wearing it.

My first watch arrived extremely fast, but unfortunately, the mechanism was frozen. I have returned and I have ordered one more time, same model. Again, extremely fast delivery and this time the watch is working flawless. Is a big, heavy, chunky piece of a watch but I love it and I will always wear it with great pleasure!
