ILM Fiberglass Open Face Motorcycle 3/4 Half Helmet
The media could not be loaded. This helmet is great by my standards and I thought it was cool looking. I actually bought 2 sizes, L and XL, listening to the reviews and being worried about the fit. My hat size is 7 1/4 which recommends size M. The size L fits just fine (I do not have much hair because I keep it short, 5mm on top 2mm on sides) and after wearing it more, I expect the inner padding to form accordingly to my head. It's snug but comfortable, like I used for racing dirt bikes. The XL fits almost perfectly in regards to a little less snug but firm enough that my head doesn't shift inside. I will use my size L for now but if the padding doesn't form as much as I hoped, I will use the size XL. I plan on keeping both for now and if the size L wears out one day I can easily use the size XL after. It is DOT certified but to me it doesn't feel cheap or concerned that it won't protect my head. I use my bike for street use. The main shell is the fiberglass and harder shell, the padding is firm, comfortable, and full (the cheek pads can also be removed if needed). The face guard is plastic and removable. It won't be protecting you much and it states so on the sticker giving warning. You can also open the mouth area up for more air or closed. The tinted visor is as expected but I wear prescription sunglasses and I notice the UV glasses with the tinted visor sometimes don't work well for me. When the sun is setting the combination seems to be dark an hour or two sooner than it really is. I actually contacted customer service and they sell a clear visor so I bought it. The customer service has been great both times I contacted them. I have pictures of both visors posted. Both visors work fine but I like the dark visor for looks and clear for performance. It's also easy to remove and replace the visors. The face guard is pretty close to my nose but doesn't touch. I also wear a Base Camp mask with replaceable filters to reduce exhaust from vehicles and it fits but it uses up all available space between my nose and the face guard. It touches the face guard when I wear the mask but still comfortable enough. I noticed no difference between size L and size XL with the face guard to my nose or with wearing the face mask. It's light weight and I do hear air coming in the helmet. I believe its a small gap between visor on each cheek side. It doesnt bother me much but by no means is this a noise canceling helmet. To reduce the air you can close face guard and open visor but that defeats some purpose of the helmet. The air becomes noticeable around 25 mph for me.The only negative comment I could say is the helmet is an off white more than pure white. My bike is pure white and this looks a little cream or off white more than my bike.Overall, I love the look and it covers my needs. So much so that I wanted 1 and now have 2.

Big
Quality is there, cool features too. but looks massive. Not a minimal design.

Riding like a space invader
Helmet looks very cool. I get compliments on it quite a bit. It fits well, has some wind noise, but i have heard worse on other helmets. As far as safety goes the removable jaw protection will probably do nothing but come off in a wreck, but I knew that going in. I recognize this is probably not the safest helmet but i like it so i made a choice.

Can’t beat it!
Love the removable face mask. The drop down sunvisor is such a luxury. Great build quality. Vents well, fits great and has great padding which makes you feel safe.

Feels Quite Cheap
For anyone looking for serious motorcycle protection- you want to look for a helmet that is fully ECE rated. The DOT standard is old, outdated, and self-certified which means anyone can put that sticker on any helmet and it doesn't get reviewed by any authority until someone requests it. This helmet only has a DOT sticker on it.If you are treating this more as a lower-speed scooter or bike helmet, for things like going around town, or riding slower speed vehicles like perhaps onewheels and such... it's not terrible. It's light, comfortable, breathable in the summer, and has a decent style... but there's still some issues.Firstly, the chinbar is rated for protection, its purely style, so in a serious accident that could potentially shatter into your face and leave your jaw unprotected or worse add to the damage you take.Secondly, the sunglass visor is flimsy and incredibly cheap. Its loose, constantly falls down after the smallest bumps or head turn, and isn't nicely supported to slide up and down so consistently twists and jams when trying to put it up or down. It's really quite frustrating, enough to serious considering permanently removing it and just wearing sunglasses. The quick release chin strap is a nice feature- less strong than a friction D-ring system, but for low speeds is sufficient and convenient.Overall, this helmet is more for style and ease, not for serious protection. If you're riding any proper bike at serious highway speeds, your skull deserves better.

Good quality and fit
This helmet looks amazing and is good quality. The fit and comfort is very good. I prefer a full helmet with a chin guard that protects the face, but if you like 3/4 helmets, this is the one to have. It allows for the freedom of a 3/4 helmet while still allowing a little extra protection from the cold if needed.
