Staedtler 925 25-05 Silver Series 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil

I upgraded to Staedtler from my Kuru Toga M450 (used for print style writing) and my Sakura xs127 (used for cursive style writing). Suffice to say, this one does a great job for both kinda writing. The metal build is sturdy, the silver looks so sleek and elegant! The pencil isn't as heavy as I'd thought and I love the balance. It doesn't even hurt through long hours of writing and drawing. I think the price is justified well for this pencil as opposed to my 150 bucks Kuru Toga and 350 bucks Sakura, which also do a fantastic job but doesn't quite match the Staedtler. Got it off the sale at 1.1k.

1. All metal construction from tip to button. Has a brass clutch. Made to very small tolerances. Has a small pin in the eraser to help in clearing broken lead pieces from the pipe. 2. A little heavy in weight so may be uncomfortable for some people. 3. Great feeling grip and crisp clicking mechanism. 3. Pipe is not retractable and care must be taken to not drop the pencil as it will most certainly be damaged, rendering the pencil useless. 4. Comes in a nice hard shell plastic box with one pack of 12 HB grade leads. 5. No superfluous features and a simple, robust mechanism. Basic pencil which does the job. 6. Price of around ₹1,000 is well worth it, provided you look after it. It will easily last many decades. Also good for the environment as you won't have to keep buying and create waste.

Go for it , only when you've accumulated some time in sketching and have understood you're drawing ability , it's p good if you're an intermediate.

Really nice finish, look and is sturdy. I bought three different brands and this was the best but not 3x better than the cheapest (Derwent). The cheapest works nearly as good just doesn't look as good. Maybe my opinion will change after using more than a couple of weeks.

I’ve been fascinated by writing and drawing instruments. This pencil is well worth for my usage and in my collection. The finish, the weight, the grip, the lead movement, the nozzle - excellent.

night & day difference between a normal mechanical and this pencil, glad I bought one.
