I am a little dissapointed with the end result. I think brighter or a 4th light is needed. The build required a lot of gluing, and making some of the decorative elements was difficult. The end result was very dark on the upper right corner, which is also unfortunately because there is a lot of detail there with pictures and frames. The nook looks good is a very dimly lit room, but if there is any real ambient light, the scene falls flat with it being very dark. All in all, this was an okay build, but not lit enough in the interior to make for an impactful scene.

This is, so far, the best quality of the book nooks that I've put together. The wood material is sturdy, but the pieces pop out smoothly without breaking the smallest ones as long as a little care is taken. The "nubs" left on the pieces are very small, and the outside edges of the pieces are already colored. The wiring was a quite a bit easier than ones I've done in the past - frustration level was only 4/10. :)

I am a fan of MiniCity’s book nooks. They are well-designed with quality components including laser cut wood boards useful tools, glue, lights, accessories, and solid instructions. This kit also includes a dust shield. The art deco theme is almost eclipsed by the pile of details in this design. It shows an artist’s loft and main roon with paint brushes, canvases, and paint splattered all around. I enjoy the formality of the sweeping curves of the furniture and staircase along with the messiness from the paint. I found this medium difficulty to complete. I sand and paint all the edges of the pieces bc I don’t like all the brown edges that darken these nooks. I also paint out the connection spots along the edges and the mismatched tenons on the furniture, which kills the illusion of the scene. It takes longer this way but I am more satisfied with the result. I recommend this kit without reservation.

If you have made book nooks before this will make sense and it won’t be complete deal breakers. Starting with a 4. The reasons it’s not a 5 is because #1 the book instructions aren’t clear. There is a page that isn’t even in the directions. There is no directions on how to make the single sheets of paper. Also the way they use the pictures of front and back are a little off. #2 The thin pieces are EXTREMELY thin. Some of the pieces are ill fitting and I have had to use glue pretty consistently

Enjoyed putting this together - It went together very fast and looks nice on my shelf. I love the touch light and the many book options provided.
