good camera
I've only had this for a day, so this is a first impression (first impressions are important). I will update this review in a couple of weeks. I gave it five stars because it does everything I want it to do. It seems well-constructed. It is very easy to use. It take really good pictures. It is compact and lightweight. There are a few annoying things that can be compensated for. The description of the camera said it uses a memory card - not a specific type. Perhaps it does somewhere. I assumed it used a regular-size SD card (like the canon powershot it replaces). It uses a micro-SD card which I'll have to get. Until then, I have to use the internal memory. It is good for six photos or three seconds of video. At least I can test the various functions and see how they work. I emailed several pictures to myself. This function works well, however, the picture is compressed when it is emailed. A photo that was 3 or 4 megabytes in its original form arrives at its email destination as 400 or 500 kilobytes. It would be nice if there was an option to send the photo in high resolution. Actually, you can do this by hooking the camera to your computer and copying the file, but it would be nice to do this directly from the camera. Another thing the camera does when you email is that it save the email address - but you can't delete any of these addresses. Potentially, I'll have to scroll though many email address - even the ones no longer in use. Perhaps a future software update can address both these issues. The battery doesn't seem to last. I've had to charge it twice. My canon battery seemed to last forever, but it had no wi-fi and the photos were 10 mb. This Samsung camera has a lot of battery draining features, but it would be nice to have a stronger battery. On the subject of the battery, the charging cord is way too short. I have to use the cord that came with another device I have. For me, the cord should be another foot long. By not having a micro SD card I cannot update the firmware (I got a message to do this) nor can I set up my smartphone as a viewfinder. Again, these are little problems that don't really distract from the fact that this seems to be a good little camera that I will most likely get a lot of use out of.

I love this camera more than any girl I ever dated. :)
I love this camera. It is perfect for me. I take a lot of photos and e-mail the photos to friends. The camera is so small that I can easily carry it in my sport jacket pocket. The resolution is subperb. It has an e-mail function. The zoom function takes clear photos at a distance. It is so easy to operate. The price is fair. I use the smart auto function. So all I have to do is point and shoot. The camera makes all the necessary adjustments for a clean, clear photo each time. My friends think I am an experienced photographer because my photos come out crystal clear each time. The camera has a rechargeable battery. So I do not have to buy any additional batteries. The camera comes with a carrying strap which keeps me from accidentally dropping the camera. This is a great camera for an amateur photographer who wants to look like a pro.

Nice camera, lots of instructions.
I hope I did not short this one star, anyway I was looking for an easy point and shoot camera with WIFI so I could post pictures directly to social media like I do with my cell phone. I hate reading instruction manuals and when the camera arrived I knew I was in trouble when I looked at the quick start guide which is a small booklet but is 21 pages long!! Quick start!! You have to go on line to see and down load the user manual which is 130+ pages!! This camera does some amazing things from what I read, but I would not remember many of the things I can do without referring to the manual which I am not going to download and print to carry around with me. I did learn how to post pictures on line and even transfer pictures from the camera to my phone or was it from my phone to the camera!!!! It does take very nice pictures so maybe I should have given it 5 stars, but with all the instructions it makes my head spin, and I know next month I will have forgotten hot to post from the camera to the internet and will have to consult the manual again. Maybe I will have my 10 year old granddaughter show me how to use it.

Decent camera for the price
I purchased this camera for a trip I took to Central America. I wanted a real camera to create good photographic memories of the trip rather than using the camera on my phone. I took the precaution of purchasing extra batteries which, as it turned out, was a prudent precaution. Battery life is not bad, but it's not exceptional either. Carrying 3 fully charged extra batteries was easy as they're both small and light. Plus I was always confident that I'd be able to take all the photos I wanted without concern of running out of power. The controls are relatively simple, but navigating the menus took me some time to master. Reviewing the manual prior to use of the camera is strongly advised. Initially I had some difficulty transferring pictures to another device, and I could never get the upload to Facebook or Dropbox to work. The photos were good quality and had sufficient resolution to permit some editing with computer/phone-based software. Color accuracy was reasonable for a camera in this price range. In short I was satisfied but not "wowed" by this camera. For the price it's a decent camera that's reasonably easy to use to obtain competent results.

A slow camera, but good quality
The camera is high quality and takes excellent pictures. The optical zoom is excellent. However, the device is noticeably slow, often requiring ten seconds before it is able to take the picture. Multiple pictures are very slow. It is perfect for carrying in your pocket or on a belt when travelling as it is small and unobtrusive. The direct download via the Wifi or iPhone is quite handy. A far better camera than the iPhone or iPad and almost as easy to use. The slow speed will drive you nuts if you are trying to take multiple pictures. It seems to spend a great deal of time trying to figure out the perfect focus and exposure. Generally, it gets it right but the delay can be frustrating. Overly complicated menus - it would be easier if they had provided fewer choices. Bottom line - really good optics and zoom. High quality photos. But you need to wait for the camera, and life happens faster.

Awesome simple to use Smart Camera
First let me say I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to Smart Phones and Cameras. My daughter is graduating college at the end of the month and I needed a good camera that I can send to out-of-town relatives through Facebook and email. I needed something that would take good pictures but be extremely easy to operate. This camera is awesome. Even though there are a lot of bells and whistles, I was able to take it out of the box and set it up and take a picture. It may take me a while before I use all the extra features, but right now, I'm able to take a picture and send it right from the camera to numerous social media sites, clouds and/or email. It is pretty fool proof and ideal for a technophobe like myself. This camera also takes videos that can be sent right to You Tube. What more can you ask for for $99. This Smart Camera is easy and the picture quality is A+. If you decide to go with this camera, make sure you order a micro SD card. It does not come with one.

Good camera, don't zoom during video
Perfect little camera to keep in your bag. I got it specifically for it's ability to wifi connect with social media and transfer photos to other devices, which it does quite smoothly. I gave it 4 stars because if you are taking a video and use the zoom, the audio cuts out every time you zoom in or out. So your finished video has soundless blips every place you've zoomed...super annoying! I've tried to figure out if there's a way around it in the settings but it's not that sophisticated. The only solution is not to zoom while you video, or upload your video to a movie editor and add a sound track.
