Easy set up with the instructions. Because of this system, my plants are more like small trees. If you want larger yields for your growing, this will definitely help you get there. Warning!!! Rinse the clay beads thoroughly as instructions state!!!!

i had good luck with vivosun in the past, so sad to seethey have lowered quality to increase profit.anybody can do better with some 5gal pails and a knife.

Kept reading reviews of people saying the air pump was gonna be super loud and will need to be replaced.When I plugged it in without anything else connected, it was super loud. However, once all the tubing and connections were made, it's actually as silent as all my other aquarium air pumps. So instead of having to replace the air pump, it's sitting happily in my tent pumping doing its job.I did not like that some of the holes for tubing were on the bucket instead of the lid, so i simply drilled 2 holes on the lid for the air pump and water recycle tubes. I then used regular tubing to fill the two unused holes on the bucket so that there wouldnt be any leaks.Very happy with this system. Have everything I need.I did order some extra buckets to help with water changes every so often, as the lids work on any 5 gallon bucket.

Quite frankly, the directions rot. But, once you get it together, you'll have a fantastic starter hydroponic system that is perfect for tomatoes, strawberries and other large plants. For assembly, you'll want to use a heat gun to soften the hose ends, that makes it a lot easier. And don't mess up any of those blue back flow valves, there are no extras. Operationally the only tricky bit are the valves that control the circulation of nutrient solution. Turn those up too high and your buckets will be blasting nute all over. I use this system on an indoor rack but plan on moving it outside eventually. It's perfect for big vegetables and you can grow some beefy tomatoes in this system. I use Masterblend Tomato and Vegetable nutrient in a 12-6-12 mix in a five gallon bucket. That nute and enough light and you can grow nearly anything indoors. Might even try growing pumpkins inside this winter or winter squash, just for grins.
