Yoton MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.2, 64GB, HiFi-Music, with Sports Clip and Independent Volume Button, FM Radio, Earphones Included

You just can't beat this MP3 Player's features for the price. I previously had a Victure MP3 player and it lasted 6 years of daily play and wear and tear. The Yoton is similar aesthetically. You have the same button functionality. Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, and buttons on the front that allow you to play/pause, Go back to start (no rewind search), Go to next track (no fast forward search). There is also a menu button and return button. I want to applaud the pleasing click and durability of the buttons. My previous model did not have this and this is an upgrade. The buttons make the operation of the MP3 player easy to use. The MP3 player has the all-important clip. The device is small enough, and light enough, that you can clip it to your shirt, shorts/pants, or even a bag on the outside to it is easy to find and make adjustments. It is so light, that you might accidentally leave it connected to an article of clothing after a dog walk or workout. The Bluetooth is greatly improved over my previous model. I primarily use three devices to connect with Bluetooth. Once connected, they re-connect seamlessly. The only flaw with the Bluetooth is that when you power on the device, the Bluetooth starts up immediately. This is convenient for those who only use Bluetooth devices. Pro tip: If you didn't know, using wired headphones or a wired connection to a speaker will make your device's power last so much longer. I don't remember the details, but I can confirm the validity of this. I have used the device daily for a morning 45 minute walk, listen during feeding my dog and making breakfast, commute to work, and sometimes at work for longer than half my shift, and the commute home. So far, the device has never gotten even close to being out of power with wired headphones. I have even gone a few days with the same use and the only reason I charged it was to load music. 2nd Pro Tip: Wired headphones sound better on this device than the previous model. With Bluetooth I listen at 25/31 and when using wired headphones I listen at 8/31. The sound is far more robust than the previous model and you still get the ability to adjust the EQ to preferred levels. The display is different than the previous model and I needed time to adjust. Eventually the difference did not matter. You get a notification that the sim card is inserted, Bluetooth is connected, the power level, the EQ setting, track #/# of tracks, Clip art, whether you are playing straight, shuffle (yes it is there), or repeat, Track Name, time signature and length of song, and indicators for Back, Play, and Forward. When you power on you get a standard home screen with product name and customer service pledge. Getting to the shuffle takes some practice, but once you find it, it works well. The other main upgrade to this model is the inclusion of the sim card that gives you an amazing amount of space. However, I suggest not trying to load it to the hilt. I tried that and it affected the functionality of the device and it eventually froze up. I had a couple of frustrating days of trying to troubleshoot the device with customer service through email only. I was not savy enough to upgrade the firmware, but the manufacturer sent me a new device. I have been more conservative with the amount of music I have loaded on to the device since then. I still have 3 times the amount of music loaded that the previous model could hold without a sim card and it is not even halfway full. You can tinker with what works for you. Overall, it has been an incredible upgrade and I got it for less than $30. I have paid more and gotten less on fancier devices. The size, sound, bluetooth, and storage makes this an unbeatable option. If you want your music, audiobooks, podcast, etc. without interrupting adds, notifications, etc. This is a great choice and absolutely the most bang for your buck! The longer I used it, the more I came to fully appreciate it. I have used it for three months solid daily. I will more than likely buy several more to load for specific playlists, genre, etc. I am very happy with this product and recommend it for the value and quality I have enjoyed all summer.

I initially bought this as a compact emergency MP3 player for a coinpurse miniature survival pack because listening to music helps me deal with panic attacks. It ended up being just a tad too heavy and big for what I needed it for. I considered forcefully removing the clip to make it a bit smaller, or outright returning the item - but I decided to take it out for a spin just once first. I did not use the earbuds that came with it, instead using some cheap generic Samsung ones that I like. Audio quality was excellent, just as good as my phone or PC. It can blast pretty loud too, if you want it to. First off in my experience of taking it out: I've never had a clip-on electronic before. Immediately this little product became x10 more useful and easy to use for me than my phone for music playing: I can put it on the collar of my jacket and the earbuds cord doesn't get caught up in anything I'm doing - this is the opposite experience of dealing with a heavy phone in my pocket! Way better. It's very light, easy to grab on the go with your phone and wallet, loading music onto it was no problem. For the low price I really don't need or expect any other features, but it also has a pedometer, timer, clock, and radio. I have not yet tried Bluetooth or playlist making. The shuffle feature works as a true shuffle, no AI features trying to guess what order you want to listen to (like Spotify and YouTube Music nowadays.) MP3 volume can vary between songs but this is standard for old mp3 players - it's not that much of a pain to adjust the volume between songs, and if you're really annoyed by that and are even a little bit tech savvy, you can probably figure out how to adjust the volume of the MP3s on a third party program like Audacity yourself and save 'em. No problem. Excellent product if you don't want to use or rely on your phone so much. Excellent companion for my outings. Easy to turn off and on and change volume. Will be using this every single time I go out from now on. I bought my mom one too. Everyone should have one of these. Biggest cons, if I have to; -Battery seems just ok. It lasted me about 4hrs before not displaying as full anymore, but still far from dead. I am guessing it'll probably last about 1-2 days of constant play before needing charging. It's not as bad as some people here are saying - they might've overcharged their battery and killed it (which the product warns about), or received a bad battery to begin with. -Button input lags a second or two. Once you get used to it it's no problem at all. -The face buttons could be better defined; I keep accidentally pressing several buttons at once (which to it's credit it didn't seem to take as input) or pushing the wrong button because I can't feel them out even though I know where the one I want to push should be. This can probably be DIY fixed easily with some tactile button stickers (or any raised stickers.) The two most important buttons - power and volume - are not on the face and are ready to navigate without looking. Overall it deserves my 4/5: It's not perfect, but as a travel buddy to help with my anxiety it's the best friend I never knew I really needed. I got it to use once in a blue moon and I changed my plans to use it every day because I like it so much.

I am not an audiophile at all but this mp3 player is great. I was looking for a cheap no nonsense mp3 player that isn't just phone-lite and this works perfectly. The only minor nitpick I have is how hard it is to find the shuffle button. Otherwise I love it, it's small, and easy enough to conceal since it can be clipped under a sweater or hoodie. I love it. I'd find a way to give it six stars if you could move to the next song via holding down the volume

I wanted a standalone MP3 player to avoid distractions when listening to podcasts while exercising and doing yard work. This inexpensive player has what I was looking for without any unwanted frills. One reviewer claimed you can’t fast-forward or rewind within a track, but that’s not true at all. Just hold the forward or back buttons, and it skips forward/backward in roughly 5–10 second jumps. It works fine for skipping ads or rewinding when I miss something in a podcast. Two minor annoyances: Bluetooth turns itself back ON every time you power the device on. There’s no way to permanently disable it, which is a minor annoyance as I use wired headphones. The buttons are completely flat with almost no tactile feedback, making it necessary for me to look at the player to make sure I'm pressing the correct button.

This is perfect for me because of the school phone ban in Texas and I need my music. It’s small but still a good size. The sound quality is really really good, and to up the quality I bought some skull candy wired headphones, but the headphones they give are really good. It also as an equalizer which is the reason I bought this particular one. I have been playing with it for 6 hours and the battery is still full which is one of the best things about this one mp3 player. It also shows album covers if you use something that downloads them with the mp3 like spodDL or tag scanner to add the photos which is a big plus. The cons were that the buttons are hard to press because they are the same color and flush, also the music organization which is only alphabetically, but you can go into the file option to get to it the way you copied it into there. One other thing is that if you use an tf card adapter it won’t show in the music tab but in the file tab only but the mp3 was really fast to copy my 1021 songs so there was no reason for the adapter. Most of the flaws didn’t effect me but I give it 4 stars because if I didnt figure most of these things out my self I wouldn’t know and figuring it out just made me spend more unneeded time on this, but other then that for it cheap price it is especially good.( I also still have so much space left after adding 1021 sounds)

This device is decent for the cost but has a couple of annoyances that I'm not sure I can live with. Before we get to those, I will say that I was able to load my music and playlists (.m3u format) without issue and it appeared correctly. The tags were read correctly too. The audio quality is OK, but it's noticeably "basic", but this is a basic, inexpensive device. The first annoyance is that it forces [3] default, irremovable playlists named "Playlist 1, Playlist2, and Playlist 3" and puts them above your own playlists. I contacted support (they took 2 days) and they confirmed that the default playlists cannot be removed. Annoying! The second annoyance is that the buttons are difficult to see because they are black on black and aren't backlit (I wouldn't expect backlit on a $20 device - just a comment). Once you get used to the button locations, it might not be too bad, but they could have spent an extra $0.01 and used a little bit of "paint" or "coloring" to fill in the icons on the buttons to make them noticeable and stand out. Not sure if this going back yet or not. I might be worth it to spend an extra 50% for one that has everything I am looking for.

I bought a YM03 MP3 Player and couldn't get it to connect with either a desktop or laptop to transfer music files. I contacted Yoton by email and got a very prompt and courteous response. The representative asked me to check a few things and we finally decided that the device did not have a functioning USB port. Yoton shipped me a replacement (that worked perfectly) without requiring me to return the defective MP3. This is a nice player with several functions that I don't use but are available should I need/want access to them. Plenty of memory and easy to use. I use mine with a Bluetooth connection to a small speaker in my shop. Sound quality is very good. I recommend this device if what you want is a small, portable player with great features, low price, and more than great customer service.

If you read the reviews here you will get a lot of people talking about the small tactile buttons, how small and light it is, how the software is terrible (but useable) to navigate. How they couldn't find the shuffle feature... it's there but you do have to search for it. Or how the shuffle feature works but would often play the same tracks even though you have 2 or 3 thousand songs on the player. How it maxes out at 4000 songs. How the bluetooth would be on or off each time you started it, in my case it was both, sometimes it was on and sometimes it was off. There are all kinds of things in the reviews some of them are not deal breakers (software) and some are, which Ill tell you about now. -The deal breakers for me are the fact that the bluetooth would cut in and out (like a scratched cd) randomly while I'm out doing chores with it in my pants pocket. I tried switching bluetooth headphones and switching to different pockets and even my shirt pocket, but it would still cut out randomly for no rhyme or reason and it would do it often like 20 times an hour or more as I never really counted just knew it was doing it often. I dont expect this issue with 5.2 bluetooth. Its not the songs either, the mp3 files arent corrupted, it seems to be a bluetooth connectivity issue. -Then you get into the fact that it states a 20 hour battery life and I charged it up 100% 3 times and let it play connected to a different bluetooth headset each time and it was always about 6 to max of 7 hours. I tried music 2 x and and audiobook 1 x and it was always the same 6 or 6.5 hours is about where it would die. I would check it a few hours in and the battery bar on the player would display approximately 75% and so I would think ok it might make it to 10 hours or something but sure enough it would power down sooner than expected. The software doesn't accurately display the battery life in my experience. I never expected it to last 20 hours but 10 is what I expected and hoped to be closer to 15 since it advertised 20 hours. 6 hours will not make it thru a day for my uses, so I would have to constantly charge it up. I guess 20 hours is for wired use but I would guess 98% of us are buying this for its bluetooth capabilities. -Lastly, when having it on shuffle it would randomly jump from my music folder to the audiobook folder so I would have to stop what I'm doing, take off my work gloves and fiddle with it to get it back to the music folder. You can FF to the next shuffled track just using the buttons on your bluetooth headphones (thats nice to know it worked - you could also control volume with your headphones) but once it jumped to the audiobook folder it would only FF to a track in the audiobook folder it wouldn't jump back to the music folder. This was having all my music in one folder and navigating to the folder feature on the software and playing music thru that. My audiobooks were in a completely different folder. This was the final straw for me. A few things that I did like and if I was only using it for audiobooks or only music it might be worth keeping for 20 bucks. For audiobooks you can speed up the playback. I would estimate the actual playback speed maxes out at 1.6 normal speed. So you can never really get 1.8 or 2.0 speed playback. You can connect different headphones to the unit without having to pair a different set each time, you'll just choose the one you want each time you turn it on. I set up 3 pairs and it worked well, but again the cutting in and out randomly with other factors made it a deal breaker for me. Its light and you barely feel it in your pocket, however the buttons are small and using 2 hands is how you'll have to use it most of the time, you can almost get away with single handed use but if you got big hands and fingers, it could be annoying. So who is this player for? It could be a 3 or 4 star product if you are only playing music and don't mind FF when it plays similar tracks over and over in a short period of time. It could be a decent only audiobook player with the playback speed feature. Or maybe you don't need the shuffle feature, it might stay in your music only folder and not jump to some other genre or your audiobook folders (thru the music button on the software maybe?) or some other folder you don't want. If you don't mind only 6ish hours of playback using bluetooth headphones. Maybe its for a grandparent, young teen or child who is a little savvy with technology and wont mind the navigation/software issues. Maybe you want to use it with wired headphones? These are all cases where it might be useable for 20 bucks. Just not for my uses though.
