Review: Beautifully dark. - In my opinion this is Burton's masterpiece. Gothic and dark, with most color rinsed away leaving a palette of dread and foreboding. Depp goes a little overboard on the weirdness, but I guess Ichabod was never a hero is the true sense of the word. Every actor owns their character, there's some amazing talent on display here. The 4K transfer shows some improvement, but this was always supposed to look grainy and olde world. Of course the Steelbook is just the icing on the cake. Review: Personal favorite. - Comfort film. Story and atmosphere are great.

Beautifully dark.

Great Halloween Move
Its got everything. Quirky goth style with magic. Eerie immersive setting. Brutal kills. Lots of action. Twisted plot with a murder mystery approach. Humor. Acting. It takes some logical leaps but for a film this engaging I'll happily give it a couple passes. Good on first watch. Better on second.

Watch your heads
Looks great and sounds great. I’m a big Burton fan and I think this is one of his greatest films. The cast is superb. Depp and Ricci at their very best. Miranda Richardson’s character and performance steals the show. Danny Elfman’s fantastic score is also one of his greatest to me. I’m new to 4K so all I can say is that it looked better than I’ve ever seen it before. I’m pleased.

KINDA OF SLOW IN THE MIDDLE
Big Johnny Depp fan but had been putting off buying this 4k for a while. Finally came down in price so I jumped in. Film starts of great with a fantastic picture and sound, but slows down in the middle with too much talking etc. Still overall a great film and would recommend it.

El slipcover con el que llega es de buena calidad y consistencia. La imagen es una gran mejora desde el blu-ray convencional, y la película nunca se había visto mejor, desde que se estrenó en cines. Simplemente la potencia en el brillo de la imagen y la fuerza de impulso en la coloración, hace que valga la pena la compra. Es como el día y la noche. Es una restauración correcta, sin afectar la calidad cinematográfica de la misma. El audio en inglés DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 es muy bueno y correcto. No trae doblaje al español latino ni subtítulos en español latino como el viejo blu-ray del 2006, solo subtítulos en castellano, esto solo en el disco 4K. El disco blu-ray es el mismo que la edición del 2006 y ahí si están audio y subtítulos en español latino. El código digital solo es válido para VUDU exclusivo de USA.

This 4K transfer is much better than the blu ray version, especially the display of black color. (Consider this movie is pretty dark).
