This item is so Beautiful, pictures do not do it justice. It's exactly what I was looking for. Almost exactly like the one my mom had when I was growing up. Packing was great. It arrived in mint condition with no damage.

The Turkey is really nice and a perfect size to use as a centerpiece. The reason for the 3 stars is the horrific packaging. The box came torn in the front and the terrible Styrofoam packaging immediately tore apart and got all over the place. Little sticky Styrofoam pieces covered the inside of the box, the Turkey, my hands, my floors and cabinet. Such a mess!! I cant use the box for storage and cant imagine why the beautiful product was packaged in such cheap inferior materials. Geesh! Took me forever to clean up after opening and I am contacting Amazon about the issue.

This Spode soup tureen is over the top supreme. One thing for sure, it will draw attention due to it's large size of 9.6 inches wide by 14.5 inches tall, no matter where it is. I just know that all my Thanksgiving guests and even my own family, will be busy admiring it while they eat, because it's just so very pretty. With that being said, so even though it seems like it has a hefty price tag, it is worth every single cent. This colorful turkey soup tureen can be used again and again, year after year. Plus, it can even be handed down from generation to generation, as a cherished family heirloom, and that, in and of itself, is Priceless. I really like how this soup tureen is lead free for my family's food safety and also how very durable it seems to be. In addition, it does come with an accompanying serving ladle, which is made to resemble a turkey tail feather, at the end. The entire set is skillfully hand painted too. All 3 pieces are hand wash only, so yes, it may be kind of difficult to wash this, since it's somewhat heavy (7.9 pounds). I just hope I don't accidentally break it when I do wash it: That would make me very sad, if that happened 😢!!! Remarkably, my Spode turkey tureen arrived completely intact. Nothing was broken, chipped, or damaged on it, in any way, which was surprising, since it wasn't packaged all the best. So when I unboxed it, I was overjoyed with the condition of it😀! Now I'm Really ready for Thanksgiving, since I have this Gorgeous Gobbler for my table centerpiece! Thank you Spode Store! Thank you Amazon!
