Reliable, Versatile & Easy to Use!
The NOYAFA NF-8209S exceeded my expectations as a network cable tester. It’s quick and intuitive to operate, with multiple testing modes (digital, analog, PoE) that make locating and diagnosing cables much easier—even in complex environments. I especially appreciate the cable length measurement and the ability to identify faults like open, short, or cross circuits, which has saved me hours on bigger jobs. The tone tracer function is accurate, and being able to blink ports for speedy cable identification is a game-changer on large switches. PoE testing is comprehensive, too; it supports both standard and non-standard PoE devices and clearly detects voltage and PSE type. Setup was simple, and all the accessories in the kit are handy. For the price, this tester offers serious value—from cable continuity checks to troubleshooting and even crimp/head tests. Whether for CAT5 or CAT6, it’s been dependable and efficient every time. Highly recommended for anyone needing a robust, all-in-one network cable tool!

A whole lot of bang for the buck.
I have been pleasantly surprised with this kid. I didn't expect much from it, but it's been exceptional so far. It's very basic, but it carried me through several overseas deployments and work flawlessly the entire time. Usually I'm skeptical on battery life, but I was in Tunisia for 3 months and used this a lot and never had to recharge it. In fact I don't think I've charged it since I bought it back then.

DIYer's Spend your $ on Noyafa NF-8601S and get the job done!
As a DIY installer working on my own structured wiring project, this unit delivers great value. It saved my bacon diagnosing issues with structured cable runs identifying issues. This bundle is all you need to identify point to point wiring issues. There are cheaper tester in the market place, but not with the range of function that this unit offers. If you are running PoE or need to verify PoE power, this toolset can get it done. I was able to easily (with some. thinking) identify corrective actions to structured wiring in my home network. [Hint: It's not the wire!] Units have rechargable batteries a nice plus over lower priced offerings. What you are paying for here is a wider feature set and EASE OF USE.

great product
The only thing that made me minus a star was the case, after just two months of being on the job the case is starting to fall apart. so other than that this is a great buy. I have only had to recharge the batteries once and i use this a lot. so I am very happy with this product

Very handy kit
Does everything I needed. Fairly intuitive. Came with a handy set of adapter cables, USB charger and charging cable. Others have said the case is not going to wear well, but not a problem for my application. The units themselves are not heavy duty and built for abuse, but not a problem for me. Would recommend.

CONSIDERABLE upgrade over the standard LED testers
using this for a few months now on my smaller self employed jobs. Quite the upgrade over those basic LED sequence testers and toners. just for the POE testing and safety alone. I've had a few of the lesser ones get burned up on accidentally connecting them to a live POE port, this one has not had those issues. It also feels like a good quality tool aswell. The rubber coating and thicker plastic has a good weight to it and doesn't creak and flex when stabbing into a bundle of cables. Having access to the digital toning and analog toning is a nice feature that they could have left out and glad they didn't as it can help you accurately get the right cable when there's a lot of cross-talk. The port flashing feature is great as well for quicker and simpler test of find the port on a switch after installation is done. DHCP client feature is handy for making sure you end up on the right VLAN and changes are happening as expected. Great price for having all this in your backpack for sure.

I thought I was going to like this at first but after using it for 3 weeks unreliably with many of the features, I got so frustrated with the inaccuracies that I threw it away. I don't want to see it or deal with it again. If you're looking for quality and reliability, don't cheap out with this device. TDR gave inaccurate measurements, has no ability to measure distances of other wires besides Cat5 and Cat6 and the toner feature was horrendous. Battery life was terrible and although it has several features it doesn't make up for how untrustworthy the device is. Look for a better product and save your money.

Bought this tester to test Cat6 cable pulls. The toning probe is very useful and picks up the signal quite well, sometimes even through drywall! The tester is very easy to use, and the rechargeable battery on the unit and toner wand are really handy features. The toner wand has an LED flashlight which I kept forgetting about. (Really great up in dark drop ceilings) The LED flash light and AC Power detector are very practical and useful features. To activate Ethernet toning, AC detection, and the led flashlight is a simple button push away. I have used an expensive fluke tester with remotes in the past so I was coming into this purchase with high standards. For the price point of under <$100 this tool has paid for itself, while at the same time saved me a bunch of time. The backlight screen makes it easy to read and operate in any light. Both the toner and tester are of good quality. This kit comes in a canvas zipper bag and everything was nicely packaged. The alligator clips are attached to an RJ11 plug and it made it easy to find uncrimped cables. It can tone out RJ11 (telephone) and RJ45 (Ethernet) cables, and test RJ45 cables for continuity. When testing for continuity and QC the toning probe doesn't need to be powered on to get results. It was okay at testing length, but didn't work on an 8 inch cable I made (stated cable was open) but was pretty accurate for testing cables longer than 1.5 meters. The continuity/QC tester shows which RJ45 wire is open or if there are any that are crossed. It detected a couple of crimps that had crossed wires and showed exactly which ones they were on the tester's screen. It also detected and showed an open wire when a punch down keystone Jack wasn't fully punched. The blinking port feature makes locating cables already plugged into a network switch pretty quick. The kit also comes with ear buds for the toner probe and one usb charge cable for the toner probe and tester. Huge thanks to MOYAFA for selling such a great tester at an affordable price. I have found it quite useful at locating cable runs and testing my data cable pulls. Recommended.

It's a little awkward having different RJ-45 jacks for different functions, you have one jack for tone scanning, one for hub flash, POE check, and length testing, and one for continuity and crimp QA. It's also annoying that while there is an RJ-11 jack on the head unit, it can only be used for tone generation - it would be handy to at least have continuity check available there. That said, it does work quite well as an RJ45 cable tester and tone generator / receiver pair, and the fact that all the batteries are rechargeable is very handy.

For the price this is a pretty good network cable tester if you build your own cables and want to confirm the connections are correct. It won't rival the expensive fluke style ones that will test cable data transfer rates but if you just need to check the connection end to end it works well.

Literally have nothing bad to say about it this tester. The tracer is clear and load, the cable tester is great. The length tester works pretty well, albeit a bit off, but narrows the break point down quite a bit. I tested the port finder, PoE tester and these were good and will be quite useful when needed. The fluke and Greenlee units I've used in the past were significantly more expensive and some worked about as well while others did not. Highly recommend this!

I recently upgraded my older NOYAFA digital toner to this one, as I cracked the screen. This newer model is much like the old one however this new one comes with a softer though more durable rubber shell compared to the plastic cheaper feeling one the last gen came in. This model does not need disposable batteries and instead has USB C rechargeable capabilities on both the main unit and wand. NOYAFA has also slimmed down the kit, integrating the cable tester and cable probe into the same want. The wand also comes with NCV (non contact voltage) to see if theres power coming to outlets. The multi lingual instruction manual was very helpful and was easy to understand in english. Overall I am happy with my purchase and I think the network tester kit is a useful addition to my toolbag.
