Incredible function and performance for the cost
Bought two Wyze cameras - this one and the stationary cam v4. The tilt on this one is nice but I honestly keep it stationary most of the time so prefer the higher-quality stationary ones, but my use case is also on-demand monitoring and the space is small enough that the camera doesn't need to move. So if you've got other needs - security or a large space, this is likely a great choice. Just know that 1080 quality does start to look a little underwhelming over distance. Gonna copy/paste what I said about the other camera: The two-way communication is actually pretty awesome - for as small as it is the camera's mic pics up decent audio. I did find that if you're on the monitoring end and want to speak through the camera you should do so slowly and deliberately as it takes a half-second for the speaker on the camera to kick on and broadcast; it cuts you off a little so just make sure you enunciate. Night mode is neat but I never use it. I use this for on-demand monitoring rather than 24/7 security so I had to look up how to disable certain things (motion tracking boxes, automatic light/alarm, etc.) but all were, blessedly, able to be disabled. Other reviews said those settings sometimes mysteriously come back on but I haven't experienced it, but had this operational for only about 20 days now. Having had this installed for over two week I've had none of the problems others spoke about. App is surprisingly functional and stable. I wish there were a "refresh" button in it as I had to close it out and re-open a couple of times to catch up to a live feed, but other than that no big deal. I will say they REALLY like to push notifications, access to your device, and upsell their cloud service. You can always hit no, but the popups are recurrent - I've had several in the ~20 days of use so far, so likely every few days you'll be asked if you're *REALLY* sure you don't want to buy online storage. Cameras haven't disconnected at all. Again, had to restart the app a few times but they were never unavailable to me. Unless I got lucky with these units I'm guessing they ironed out the problems people were having and/or the issues folks experience are because the cameras are on the periphery of WiFi - these do take a lot of data and so a strong, consistent signal is necessary. If you're monitoring these remotely on cell signal, know you'll need a good 5G signal to get an uninterrupted live feed. If you're low on bars or busted down to LTE you'll get some chop, maybe serious chop, depending on how hairy your connection is. These are essentially like streaming Netflix so again strong, consistent data is key if you want a truly live monitor. All in all, for the price, I'm honestly blown away. They have to be making near-zero on the hardware and using cloud subscriptions to subsidize selling the units, which would explain the constant badgering to sign up. But in the end that just means I get a really serviceable entry-level camera for the cost of a nice lunch.

Love Wyze, would buy again!
I love Wyze! Excellent price point and easy to install. I have the old ones and these ones are really easy to setup. The quality of the image is really good for this price point and the motion detection is really good. It allows you to pay monthly for cloud storage to stare the footage, but you can also add an sd that stores footage, NO MEMBERSHIP! This is a game changer.

A very good security camera
I already use Wyze standard cameras to monitor the outside of my home, and when I saw this Pan/Tilt model on Amazon, I ordered it right away. I’m very impressed with its performance. The camera offers nearly 350° of horizontal rotation along with smooth up-and-down movement, providing excellent coverage. The video quality and responsiveness are great, and it easily outperforms several more expensive alternatives I’ve tried. Overall, this is a fantastic value for the price and a great addition to any home security setup.

Great Product - But Cable Issues
Review is on 2023-03-12. Having owned the Wyze Cam V3 as my introduction to the brand - moving to the Pan V3 was almost a natural path. It's a great camera for a great price. The bulk of the company's money seems to be made on the subscription side, so the hardware price is sold with minimal markup it seems. The camera itself - hardware and quality - are not much different from the regular V3. Good picture quality and such. There are 3 primary differences between the Pan and the regular V3. 1 - Panning capability. The camera can turn - not 360 - but almost. 2 - Not magnetic. Must be mounted on the provided base - or similar item that the screw can fit. 3 - Micro USB cable is right angle and not straight. PANNING The camera can turn almost in 360 degrees on the base. It has what's called "waypoints" where 4 areas can be set and the camera will automatically move to each area once selected within the app. The camera supports time-lapse and motion following. NOT MAGNETIC If you wanted something similar to the regular V3 that you could stick somewhere - this won't do. Based on viewing the Pan V2 - they are similar in terms of the base. This does make some sense since the base can swivel, but it's something worth noting. USB CABLE The regular V3 has lots of cables available that are weatherproof. Finding one for the Pan V3 - and I guess the V2 as well - is very tedious. The right-angle cable needs to sit inside the base of the camera and I've not found any extensions that have this feature. If you're going to purchase a third-party cable, you need to ensure that the micro USB end is about 19mm/0.75in so that it will fit snugly inside the base of the camera. This means you MUST use the original cable. I've not seen a similar right-angle cable on Amazon or even on the Wyze website - so there's no replacement. Another option - which I've done - is to buy an extension cable that is compatible with the device. I had a regular USB2.0 extension cable and it didn't work - guess it doesn't carry the voltage as well. Waiting on the linked device to arrive and test. https://a.co/d/3dER0lL I assume I'll either have to heat-shrink or tape the connection between the original cable and the extension. If someone else has seen the cable or something that will work - please link it within your review or as a reply to this one. The items below were found on the Wyze forums and linked here to make things easier. CABLE https://a.co/d/4ravLGo TAPE https://a.co/d/ceonpX3 Additionally - if you're technically inclined - you could cut the cable and solder it to a different extension. Persons have said in the Wyze forums that it's only power - no data - so just 2 wires are required. Do that at your own risk. UPDATE - 2024-01-02 So now. Having had the device for some time, I've used and abused it a bit and have more details to add for the review. Both the V3 and the PAN has had some weird issues for me. I'll get into those individually. V3 - I recently decided to go on vacation and didn't want my cat to be left without food. While my current solar setup isn't 100% - it provides enough power until about 2AM and the area is secure enough that a dead gap isn't a problem. I really just need the cameras to monitor my cat. So a typical "pspspspspsps" call to get the cat to come around is used along with the name - but strangely, the camera seems to cut out with errors once this is done. Almost like it dies - has some firmware issue - or something. I'm going to test and see if it's the sound or pitch, but I've really not tested voice on any of the cameras for more than a few seconds previously. To get the attention of my cat I need like 1-2 minutes per camera. When the camera goes offline, it needs to be manually power cycled in order to be available again. Since my solar setup dies and comes back, that works out for the V3 somewhat, but it's concerning that the cameras have a flaw where extended voice or a sound/pitch will cause them to suddenly go offline. You may need to test this with your own cameras to verify. PAN - the V3 PAN has an even stranger issue. While it seems to share the same issue as above, it also seems to factory reset the device if there's the audio function usage or even periodic power cuts - which happens based on the solar setup I've got going as explained above. Again, this is concerning. I have to climb up on a ladder to physically reset the device and rescan the QR code to have the camera available again. This is very inconvenient. With those problems in mind, I think WYZE should have an option to "re-add" a camera that's giving issues. That way any existing configurations including waypoints can be kept and you don't have to do everything over from scratch - including sharing the camera with family members if you do that. Again - hopefully this review helps and persons can be aware of potential flaws. Overall - still a great camera and the functions of the PAN are good.

Love My WYZE Camera!
I’ve had this camera for around three days, and I absolutely love it. Wish I had gotten a much sooner! Around three nights ago, my family’s car was broken into. Our drivers side window was smashed and the entire steering wheel column was gone. If only I had a camera at that time… then maybe it could have been used to deter the theft or maybe even figure out who committed the crime. I had purchased a camera off Amazon around a year earlier - but it was awful in every regard. So after our car was broken into, I started looking around online for the best cameras at affordable prices. In the end I was down to choosing between two brands - WYZE and another. I took all of the information I had about WYZE into account, as well as reviews. I even saw a video that had been recorded of another victim’s car being broken into using WYZE. Set up was easy. Took less than 10 minutes. Downloading and signing up through the app was quick and simple. The camera itself feels of very good quality; it has some weight to it and just doesn’t feel like a cheap piece of plastic. Now, when I had a different camera months ago, it did a terrible job at picking up anything, really. I had it set up to where it was supposed to notify me when a person would cross into my designated zone… rarely if I ever did. But with WYZE? No issue there! It picks up every single person, walking or riding a bike, every car that drive drives past… It’s even picked up a few stray cats. It misses nothing! And that is super important to me. I have signed up for one of the subscriptions where it is able to tell me if it picked up either a person or a car going through my designated zone. I really like that because I’m more concerned about whether or not a person is walking through the area and not a car. I get notified each time (I know for some people that might be irritating, but for me, I like to know) anything goes through the zone. The recording quality of the camera is very good for 2K. Obviously it’s not as great as 4K but hey, it’s still really good quality and everything is crisp. There is a zoom in feature so you can zoom in if you want; but admittedly, when you do zoom in, things do get a little blurry. It has an alarm, so if you happen to see someone creeping around your area or maybe getting a little too close to your car for comfort… set it off! I tested it out while a family member was in the street. They immediately looked up as soon as they heard it. So it is loud enough to where they will definitely hear it. It does have a voice feature, so you can talk through that, but I don’t see myself using it because I have my camera at a higher height. Speaking of height - this camera works amazing and like I said, captures everything, from the height it is at. I’m not good with measurements, but this camera is quite a ways up. That is one thing I was worried about; with it being so high up, would it be able to detect motion and such. But zero issues! I highly recommend you just get an SD card to go with this. I went with 256 GB. That is more than enough. It continuously records. Then you can go back and look at whatever timestamp you please; and that timestamp will show if there was any sort of activity. Once the SD card gets filled, it will simply start overwriting old videos with new ones. I love being able to control the camera since it’s a panning camera. I can easily make it look upward, more downward, left, right, whichever. So overall, I absolutely LOVE this camera and what it offers. I’m sort of beating myself up for not having gotten it sooner. Maybe then, our car wouldn’t have been broken into. I know having a security camera, doesn’t always deter theft, but it is possible, and it is nice to have the thief on camera. I highly recommend this camera. I feel everything that you get with it for the price that it is? A total steal. I’m thinking about eventually upgrading my subscription so I have access to even more features. And I am already thinking about getting more cameras for other areas of the house.

Wyze newest cameras are failing. What is happening?
First, I use a wide variety of camera makes and models. However, years ago I discovered Wyze and their low cost and easy to use with good video (for the time) security cameras. I bought 12 of those over the next year of them first appearing, including the Pan an V1 versions. Note that every single one of these cams STILL work, even the ones outdoors (with the silicon protectors on them) and been running just fine till this day. However, once we hit v3 and v4, and the new Pan cameras, two of the pan cameras I just recently bought, they either failed at waterproofing (despite me making sure the rubber doors were secure and they were under the eaves to protect from direct rain) and one just died and took a SD card with it. This was a Pan cam in black. I replaced it with a v4 gray stationary camera, not even a month after using it it no longer will connect to ANY network no matter how close or distance. I have a dedicated network for my POE, other brands and Wyze on a high end router and extenders where needed. Then I bought two more white latest version of the Pan cameras to put on either side of my house garage door, and these had protective domes above them even though they are "waterproof". Let's name them G1 and G2 (which is what they are called). G1 is on the south of the door which faces West. G2 is North of the door still facing West so that they can cover by motion tracking (G1) and pan scanning (G2) as I get a LOT of deliveries. On the front of my house there are 6 Wyze cameras and one Amcrest (which never has failed in any manner). Right now only G2 out of all 6 front porch and garage Wyze cameras have stopped working or stopped connecting to any network even if I take them down and reset them and use a different network (I have 3 networks running through my property here). The Black Pan Cam that was on the SouthWest corner of the house (still the front) died after being filled with water despite sealed and not directly in the rain. G1 just has stopped connecting yet seems to be still "operating" on its own following around. Trust me I have tried different extenders, networks, and the next is high powered POE extenders that have a huge range but so far it won't connect to anything. G2 still works doing it's Panning job but as with ALL Wyze cameras your chance of actually keeping a connection and watching what is going on is IFFY at best. I replaced the SW Black Pan with a v4 stationary camera. A couple of months later it now no longer works or won't connect. A few feet east of it is a Wyze camera that is supposed be watching my parking area, it too has stopped working. I have another v4 on the front porch above the locking mailbox (which is secured to the side of the house) and it watches nothing but the front porch as shipments come in and I finally realized it TOO is now not working. What is going on? All the "newest" versions of Wyze cameras SUCK! They keep failing. I have one more pan (covered from rain) on the NE corner of my house watching my gate entry between my neighbor and my home. It stopped working. (sorry for the long post but it continues) Now note that ALL my old cameras but one (a first generation pan cam) are STILL WORKING. One in one of my buildings rock solid watching who enters the building. Another one above my Lab building door watching who is at that security door. A first generation PAN cam with a silicone cover and mounted on an older Pan Cam holder, under an eave is still, after ALL these years of it being out in the rain, snow, storms, tornados and the like WORKING JUST FINE! All the first generation Wyze cameras all still work even the ones I have stored in a box I pulled out and tested, no problems. I also pay a monthly fee for all my cameras to be on Wyze's "advanced software and AI stuff" subscription for all the cameras. Lot good it actually does! That will be turned off very soon, and 32 Wyze cameras including the old ones that still work, I will be dancing around a bonfire with them melting and posting it to YT. I have invested hundreds of dollars in new Wyze cameras because I liked their simplicity and decent video quality, and that they worked. But since Gen 3 nearly every camera is failing while Gen 1 and 2 are doing just fine. I wasted that money, plus the infrastructure to connect them all to the network expanding it (something I know how to do very well) and they all get solid signals. I have tested over and over again. Now I have at least 6 "new" and "improved" cams that are worthless. They can't even watch a rock sitting still 2 feet away without dying. Naturally Wyze doesn't have a great warranty that I am aware of and some now may be out of the warranty but since Amazon started really promoting Wyze and they got popular their quality has gone drastically down. I didn't want to spend thousands on high end cameras when I THOUGHT Wyze would work just fine, and even switching some of them to different networks (the ones that didn't physically fail) to take the load off thinking that might be it, well even a brand new high end router with long range and three satellites can't keep them connected if you can connect at all to them. So to all new customers I saw, "LOOK ELSEWHERE" for a decent camera cause you cannot depend on these cameras when you NEED them to work. I haven't heard from Wyze at all on the matter despite numerous emails. I would rather spend $300 to $800 per single camera KNOWING it's going to work rock steady and not fail anytime soon (AS IT"S CRITICAL FOR ME) than spend a few hundred on cheaper and cheaper lack of quality builds all because of "new tech" in them (which the high end cameras also have AND have better video quality and can recognize license plates). So it's in your hands now Wyze. I doubt you will do a thing because you sell in BULK, not quality anymore.

Fantastic cameras — reliable and easy to use!!
There isn’t a single bad thing I can say about these cameras. I use two indoors — one in our basement and one in our bedroom. I have several chronic health conditions, including seizures and fainting spells, so having cameras is important for my safety and for protecting my space. Setup was super easy, and the quality is excellent — especially for the price, which feels incredibly affordable compared to other models. The functionality is amazing: smooth pan and tilt, clear video, helpful recording features, and the app makes it easy to check in from anywhere. You can even move the camera, listen, hear, and talk through it, which has worked great for my household. Overall, these cameras have given me real peace of mind. I highly recommend them!

Very good
I needed a camera to know if my cats are inside or outside. They have a little cat door they use freely but it’s hard to know if they came in or are still outside. I tried 4 cameras and all failed to detect the cats. This one catch them 95% of the time even at night. Very satisfied. The image is clear and surprisingly HQ. Check the photo. Lag is not bad, it’s more than enough for what I want. Super easy to install and use. I recommend it
