I MUST say this is probably the best seed starter mix I’ve used in my life. It was placed into the pans to grow the seeds. Within a couple days I noticed a lot of the seed have germinated and were seen above the soil. I even purchase another box of soil to grow more plants. Yes! It’s worth the money I spent on it.

I am a beginner so I don't have an expert opinion. But the soil seemed very nice and it was sealed in plastic so it maintained its moisture content. It didn't smell like manure. It seems to drain well.

Perfect for house plants. Very nice and loosely packed.

This thing is amazing, look at my seedlings, eucalyptus and Lisianthus, not the easiest to start from seeds. Please keep it in stock, I need this every year!

I'm happy with this soil so far. It is very fine and light. I didn't have to sift it and I only hand picked out a couple larger particles like sticks and bark. I started some lavender and echinacea seeds a week ago in it, and some have already germinated. I also started some pepper seeds. They have not germinated yet, but that isn't unusual. Peppers can be a bit slow. I put some heat mats under the trays yesterday to see if that will help. I haven't seen any fungus gnats yet, which I sincerely appreciate.

This is the first time purchasing Old Potter’s seed starting soil. I am very, very impressed with how fine, absorbent and easy to fill the small trays for starting seeds. I will purchase again. The soil comes sealed in a plastic bag in a box which keeps the soil contained. Excellent quality and just what I need every year.

Packaging needs an upgrade! Poor! Just a clear plastic bag. No information about ingredients nor a zip lock for the bagged soil. Very junky.
