Smart Smoke Alarm for Home with English Voice Alerts and 17 Locations, Wi-Fi Smoke Alarm with SBS50 Base Station, Wireless Interlinked Fire Alarm, XS0B-MR31

For years, I have told myself that I should get a smoke alarm system which connects as a single system and when I saw this on a deal on Amazon, I decided to take a chance. It provides excellent testing options either by the traditional push button method to test the smoke alarm or via the app. The noise level is excellent and sounds not just from the alarm when detected but from both the central system unit telling you which smoke alarm has triggered as well as on the app on your phone so you know where the alert is even if you aren't at home. A really nice extra safety feature. After triggering the activated smoke alarm will remain red until reset in the app so you know where the alarm was triggered even if you don't have the app open when you get home. They seem sturdy and easy to ceiling mount and so far the battery life seems good and the batteries in these units are replaceable if you need to. It feels decent value for money, especially if like me, you get these on a black Friday or similar deal. I currently have a smoke alarm in my dining room, on the landing and in the garage with a combi smoke detector and co2 detector in the living room where my gas fire is, as well as co2 detectors in the bathroom (gas boiler location) and kitchen (gas cooker). I haven't added any of the home security set up items but if you want to it looks like you can add these on to the package for security. As I understand in Scotland, these also meet the requirements for legislation about a connected fire alarm system.

I ordered this set of Smoke Alarms to replace all of my nest protects that i have around my home. They are no where near as stylish as the nest alarms, however the cost of 3 of these and the base station is cheaper than a single replacement Nest Protect! Smoke alarms have a life of around 10 years and i was due to replace - better safe than sorry! The alarms are app monitored controlled and very easy to set up in the X-Sense free app. The base station is small and discreet and USB C powered. You get voice guidance from the base station when adding each of the alarms. You can name them how you wish. The alarms when tested were loud and clear - it was important to me to have the alarms 'talk to each other' just like my nest alarms, when one goes off the others sound at the same time to ensure everyone in the house hears the alarm. I have one of these in my loft where my solar inverter is and the others around the home - i am confident now that any problems with my inverter would cause the other alarms to trigger notifying me and my family. Great quality product, very good value, highly recommend the X-sense brand. Extremely happy

I bought smoke and CO alarms and a temperature & humidity sensor for my elderly mother’s home. From the hardware to the app, this system looks and feels well designed and constructed. Setting up is a doddle, connectivity is good even through thick stone walls, everything works as it should, and the ability to monitor and test the system remotely is useful. I’ll be buying another set in four years when the much more expensive system in my own home reaches the end of its life.

Good smoke alarms. I bought the pack of 3, which was at discount. Good value, easy to install, app works well. Don't pay attention to some reviews saying you have to pry the back plate open :) you just spin it and it comes off easily... I'm looking at their smart CO detectors too and I may buy them. I've used a bunch of home safety systems over the years, but the X-Sense Smart Smoke Alarm System is seriously next level. If you're looking for something that's super well-made, easy to use, and actually accessible, this is it. Right out of the box, you can tell these things are quality. They're not like those cheap plastic alarms; the materials feel strong, fancy, and built to last. The design is slick and modern, but the solid feel and finish of the hardware just scream reliability. 👌 I love how easy it was to set up. As someone with dexterity issues, I usually dread "smart" stuff that needs tiny buttons or complicated mounting. This system was a total relief. It was incredibly easy to get going, barely needing any physical effort. X-Sense clearly thought about making the installation and pairing process easy for everyone. The app is just brilliant – clean, quick, and super easy to get around. It makes keeping an eye on your home's safety effortless, no matter where you are. But the real cool part is the Wi-Fi ecosystem. Since the base station (SBS50) creates such a solid, connected network, I've already added more to my setup. I've successfully hooked up a Carbon Monoxide meter and an extra Base Unit to boost the Wi-Fi range across the house. Plus, I added 4 hygrometers (perfect for monitoring specific room conditions for my plants and indoor greenhouse). The English Voice Alerts are a great touch, so you don't have to guess "which alarm is going off" when things are stressful. It tells you the exact location (up to 17!). I'm so impressed with this system that as soon as I save up more cash, I'm adding the full X-Sense House Alarm to it. If you want a smart home that actually works for you and gives you real peace of mind, seriously, look no further. Do I recommend this X-Sense smoke alarm system? Absolutely and all the extra X-Sense ecosystems monitor you can add to it too, the overall cost isn't to expensive neither as someone who has to watch the pennies I dont regret the money paid for my current X-Sence system.

Absolutely fantastic! I have just replaced an entire Google Nest set-up with this. It's not only a fraction of the price, but also much easier to set up.

Looks good, all works well but when I have tested the alarms with smoke they don’t sound. Potentially extremely dangerous. I assume many people don’t test with smoke, just by pressing the button on the front which reassures me the alarms are in good working order….
