Smart TV
I'll start this review by saying I know nothing about technology. So my review won't cover all the technical details, but simply what I like and what I don't. After reviewing and comparing what seemed like 100s of TVs, and not understanding half the features and gumph in the details, I decided to stick with what the brand I know and a new released TV in the hopes it will last a few years. My previous Samsung was doing okay still, but it no longer supported ITV Hub/X and something had happened to the subtitles, which I heavily rely on, and I could no longer see. So, how have I found it? Picture great - the picture is sharper than my old TV. Sound is good, sometimes needs changing between channels but I'm sure this can be sorted in settings. All the apps work as they should, and all the usual and most used apps are there. The remote is a little on the small side for my fat fingers, but manageable. I'm still figuring out the solar remote. As I said, I know little about technology, but I've seen a few people mention having to re-connect to the wifi. If my previous TV hadn't been a Samsung I would have presumed the same. What you need to know, is that the wifi takes about a minute or two to work. On my old TV it would come up that the Hub was updating. On this TV, a message comes up saying Error and directs you to reconnect the wifi. This is not needed. If you wait, the wifi will connect and you won't get the Error message. Even if you get the Error message, just be patient and it will connect. For me, this is a great TV, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent picture, fast smooth UI and sound better than expected
Very happy with this TV, much better than older 'Crystal' versions I've had, Picture is comparable to my QLED and the unit is very sleek! Some reviews question the sound quality, but to be fair for such a slim TV I was quite happy with it. Yes the bass isn't exactly there, but the sound is clear full (not tinny). I certainly recommend this with a sound bar if using as a main TV, but for a bedroom/occasional room, its great. one thing I was pleased with is how smooth and responsive the UI is. Its a marked improvement over a previous model Samsung that's only a few years older. Definitely recommend

A bit of a faff to set up and a small remote but great otherwise
So, I've been playing with this TV for a couple of days now... what do I think of it? Well, it was a bit of a faff to set up - mainly due to trying to get them to set up a Samsung Account for me and then my credit card not accepting who they were so refusing a 87p fee! All in all you don't actually have to pay anything into your Samsung account and it was much more straightforward once I decided to go through the Samsung website... Anyhow, as usual with modern day equipment the set up manuals are awful - the pictures often ambiguous and unless you know what the on-screen instructions are pertaining to (I didn't always - so often just googled them... or guessed!) then it can seem a little daunting. Anyway after around an hour (over half of this time was used up with the Samsung Account debacle) I was up and running. My wife hates the modern settings of these - they are much too contrasting and bright for her delicate little eyes and so I turned down both drastically. And, unlike some other TVs - it was really easy to change these settings (hurrah!) The picture quality on this TV is fabulous - at 50 inches on the diagonal it is a seriously big display for our small living room and it is pin-sharp. It dominates the whole room but then you are able to completely immerse yourself in a movie or series. You have a wide range of apps available to you including Amazon Prime, Disney, Netflix, Live-TV etc They all work perfectly (except Netflix... as I don't have a subscription for that!) I am finding it difficult to fault at the moment... ah yes - the remote... Well you get 2 remotes. One small one which is completely inadequate size-wise for anyone with adult sized hands and fingers - all of the main select/home buttons should be nice and big like on every other TV remote on the market. And the other remote - great idea with solar/recharge potential... but it's even tinier and almost unusable. So that's my summation of my fist few days. Great TV for picture and apps, let down a bit by the tiny remote control... I may need to see if there is another option on the market...

Great
**Samsung 43-Inch 4K CU8000 TV - 5 Stars** I’m thoroughly impressed with the Samsung 43" CU8000 4K TV. The picture quality is simply stunning, with vibrant colors, sharp details, and deep contrast. Watching movies or playing games feels immersive, and the 4K resolution really makes everything pop, even when streaming content. The HDR performance enhances the experience even further, especially for action-packed or visually rich scenes. The design of the TV is sleek and modern, with thin bezels that make it look great in any room. Setting it up was quick and easy, and the user interface is intuitive. The Tizen operating system is smooth, offering quick access to all the streaming apps I use, like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, without any noticeable lag. The sound quality is decent for a flat-screen TV, though if you’re looking for cinema-like sound, you might want to pair it with a soundbar. But for regular viewing, the built-in speakers do the job well enough. Overall, this is a fantastic TV for the price, with impressive picture quality, smart features, and a sleek design. It’s a perfect fit for anyone looking for a high-quality 4K TV that doesn’t break the bank!

Excellent for the price
No it isnot OLED or QLED, or nano..... all it is is a LED 4K TV with an excellent picture and decent sound. It has voice input and plenty of great apps like Apple TV, Airplay 2 and Prime Video, The solar powered remote is goob. The colours are wide enought so that you do not notice or care tgat it is not QLED. The picture has enough contrast and darks that you do not crave OLED for a £1000 plus. I have synced mine to a Samsung S50B soundbar and the combination is fab on films with all the speakers filling the room with sound and the TV delivering a sharp, detailed and colourful picture. A great buy...

Would be zero if possible. Serious Issues with Brightness
would be zero if possible. I did a lot of research before buying and the TV itself is has good resolution when watching up to 4K and also has good sound. It looks smart and is easy to operate, with a really good interface. The issue is brightness. Its really dark picture even when on the brightest possible settings. I called Samsung support and was told essentially that as this is an "entry level" tv this is the best it can do. If that's the case, then Samsung are knowingly selling TV's unfit for use, and even at the lower product range, that's unacceptable. It is for a small playroom so I never wanted to spend a fortune, but £400 is no small amount and this is (on certain shows) barely watchable, like watching TV with sunglasses on. There are better options for less money with better picture, and this is barely usable. Very disappointed and will never again buy a Samsung TV.
