A lot cheaper than the Trangia
This item replicates the Trangia 27. The components are well-made and maybe not as good as the Trangia but significantly cheaper. The brass stove is also a copy of the Trangia, and I verified that my Trangia will fit and work with this kit. If you like the Trangia 27 you will like this kit for all the same reasons. It proves good wind resistance and cooking versatility. The only flaw is the pot support clips on this kit which can get lost. The wide base is very stable, and with alcohol as a fuel this is also a good choice for emergency preparation.

Great piece of kit!
Only gave it a test drive in my kitchen. I’m very happy so far. This is not a backpacking kit but for car camping with 1-2 people it’s great! Heated water in the kettle faster than my kitchen’s electric stove. I can also use my cast iron griddle on it which is a big plus for me. Setup…a little fiddly first time but with use I think it will be second nature. Mark Young does a thorough and positive review on YouTube. His only complaints were: large pot not stable- I found that with water or food in it, it sits solid the latching tabs on the base we’re bendable in storage- the base inverts for storage and if you lock it in place I think this will protect them. I’m very happy with my purchase and will look into other Firemaple products!

Firemaple cooking kit "update"
For the price it's alright. "Update " After testing l changed to 4 stars I found the safety factor most important, and with the wide base even is severe wind I wasn't concerned about it tipping over. The pros: price for all that you get the price is great. Comes with a alcohol stove. The base is wide and locks together. Comes with a mesh bag. The pot gripper is strong built rugged. Quality pot, frying pan and lid which fits both. And the most important is customer service. FireMaple gets a thumbs up. They care about customers and want take care of any issues. Cons: The pot hanger design is horrible they have a three step configuration, and nether the pot or the pan sit snuggly on them, and they sit to far away from the alcohol burner. No wind protection to many holes In the bottom, slits in the side. Can't boil a small cup of coffee, need to use the pot. Work around: I added a windscreen. I made a base plate to cover the holes in the bottm I used metal tent stakes inserted into the slots to 1-bring down the height of the pot and pan closer to 1 inch mark. And 2-I can now boil my cup of coffee. Would I purchase this again I would but I would considerthe gas version first.

10/10 Would Recommend to a Friend
Absolutely worth it. This stove packs pretty light and grat for cooking up meals for my girlfriend and I. The propane connection and line all feels very durable. The heat control is sensitive but when its wide open it heats up real quick and holds up against a light breeze pretty well. Super convienent

Small size and should be enough for a small family in case of emergency
This little stove and pan/pot set rocks. I bought this to use in my bug out bag, since I need to be able to cook for a small family, and this should be enough in case of emergency. Comes with the burner, pot, frying type pan, kettle. Now I just need to find a decent utensil set.

The cook system is okay but not brilliant. I purchased this because I wanted a larger kettle and cook pots whilst camping...but didn't want to pay for the larger version Trangia 25 (I already have the Trangia 27). Though I'm more than happy with the kettle and pot size...I'm not so happy with the stove setup. Compared to the Trangia cooking setup (which is solid and sturdy once assembled) the fire-maple falls short. The slot connections are very flimsy and require bending into place every time you assemble the system, and never feels totally secure afterwards. Also, the pot holder clips are not permanently attached....and again once fitted don't feel totally secure. As mentioned I'm more than happy with the pots and kettle, which is why I decided to keep it.
