Excellent read on the history and associated development drivers of an iconic watch.

In the first book authorised by Rolex I was looking forward to a proper catalogue that distinguished each and every Submariner watch type by the technical differences so they would be of help to collectors to work out what they owned or wanted to add to their collections. Nope. Nothing like this. This book is a worthless parade of photos of James Bond and other celebrities wearing watches (we don't even know what model) accompanied by a lot of useless hype. Totally useless to anyone interested in Rolex. Am returning for a refund

This may well be everything ever want to know about every Submariner ever made. It would be a great boat anchor, but since it is made of paper, it would likely just float along on the end of the chain. No, the highest and best use of this book is infotainment. The beautiful pho-doughs and fact packed writing will make you want to own all the Submariners. This book is a must-own, a must-read, and a must-display to impress all.
