Excellent A/C vacuum pump. Works perfectly!
This VTG VOGTEN vacuum pump and gauge set is just what I needed to service my car's air conditioning system. I used it to remove moisture and air from the system (vacuum) before recharging, and the pump created and maintained vacuum without any issues. The gauge is accurate, and the overall quality of the kit is very good for the price. It's an essential tool if you plan to do your own A/C service. Helpful Tip: If this is your first time vacuuming an A/C system, I recommend searching and watching a YouTube video to make sure you're using the connections and the process correctly. It will save you time and ensure a perfect job! Conclusion: A great value and performance kit. If you need it for A/C vacuuming, buy it with confidence!

Carrying case very cheap.
Arrived with some problems. First of all the pump oil leaked and the equipment arrived saturated in oil luckily it was compartmentalized and limited to only certain things. Nothing that would hurt the performance of the machine. Also one of the orange caps was broken. Fixed that with a cap from a broken air conditioning vacuum pump. So anyway I bought some pump oil filled it up. It worked just fine. I think the oil just got jostled in shipping. And the foil seal failed. Which probably meant the cap was loose! Runs very quiet and is efficient I think the buld quality is fine. Hoses are great just the right length and they seem to be durable. It did the job! Should last for years

Enough CFM to get the air and moisture out of the AC system, but get extra oil just in case
Worked as advertised, and saved me from a $300 AC repair. However the window showing the oil level didn't work right. I had to buy more oils and fill and empty it a couple of times to figure out the right level. Probably from my inexperience. Likely just user error on my part.

Good buy
Works great but you do have to put in some work. The hoses are fairly stiff and moving them around will cause them to loosen the fittings. After a little red loctite, problem solved. The vacuum pump works well and is really quiet. The storage case is a added bonus for storing the vacuum pump but not really practical for the gauges. Would definitely purchase again.

Vacuum is awesome! Buy the rest of the things separately.
Pros: The vacuum works GREAT! I was pulling -30 Hg/in as soon as I turned it on! That is the only good thing about this kit. The case is also nice. Cons: The manifold that came with it however does not look like it is designed for auto A/C systems. The pressure scales are too high which results in very imprecise readings. The seals on the manifold hoses are little pieces of plastic instead of normal rubber o-rings, and the hose diameter are smaller than normal R-134a hoses. The ends will leak if you do not tighten them enough. The can tap that comes with this is garbage, and I could not use my own because the hose was too small. The hoses are also very short, so you will need to take that into consideration when doing the evacuation. The benefit to all this is that there is less refrigerant in the lines to purge when disconnecting. I ended up renting a manifold from Oreily Auto and using that instead with a normal sized can tap I already had. (They do not include those with their kits).
