Love that sand art
I have a sand art piece that I find fascinating. If you haven’t seen one, I do recommend checking them out. I think you’ll like it. Behind the glass is a certain amount of tap water (don’t use distilled water), a certain amount of air, and a certain amount of sand (duh). The sand in my piece has different colors and different grain sizes so they fall down through the water at different rates. If the water evaporates, which it does slowly, and there ends up being too much air, the sand can’t make its way past the bubbles and it doesn’t work properly. The solution is this syringe. First, siphon some air out of the top of the piece using the hole set in the side for that purpose, then add some tap water using the the same syringe and voila! BTW, I found it best to load water into the plunger part of the string *before* attaching the needle part. Makes it much easier and quicker to get the water in. Just so you know.
