Great tools. Easy to clean

These are made of good quality materials and they look great, if a little small. Seriously, what's with these tiny spatulas in all these sets? Are we all relegated to silver dollar pancakes now? I didn't deduct a star for that because it seems to be the norm in the similar sets I looked at, but... why? Anyway, the wood handles are beautiful and the pieces don't scratch regular or ceramic non-stick cookware. The holder is not what I expected and I don't really like it, except that the bottom unscrews for full removal which makes cleaning it a lot easier. Overall, if this type of set is what you're looking for and you don't mind handwashing, this is a good choice. It'll be perfect for our son's first apartment.

SMIRLY Silicone Kitchen Utensils Set & Holder: Silicone Cooking Utensils Set When I ordered the utensil set, the pics and the description said that the handles of the utensils and the base of the crock were made of walnut. Now the description says that the handles are made of acacia wood. The handles of the set that I received are of drastic varying colors and the crock is a very light weight plastic, ugly yellow color, with no wood at the base and is not stable. The tools are of a very small scale and not sturdy enough for any real cooking. After searching the web, I did find that Smirly does sell a set that claims to have walnut handles, so no, I did not just make this up. See screenshot. The Smirly listing for the product claims that they are a certified minority-owned business and a small business. With making either of these claims, I was led to believe that they are, at least, registered to do business in the USA, but Smirly does not provide their actual location or any contact info in order to be able to verify. Based on the reviews of others about the finish stripping on the handles, the changing of the product description after ordering, and Smirly's elusiveness as a company, I will not be using the utensil set for food preparation as I do not trust that it is safe.

The utensils are great. They are made very nicely, and I love silicone for cooking. Heat resistant and easy to clean. The wooden handles have a nice touch to them as well. The only drawback for me is the bin that holds them because it looks and feels cheap, that's the only reason for my four stars instead of five. I still recommend these utensils but I hope they change the bin in the future to match the quality of the utensils.
