Less than $1 each when you buy in bulk on Amazon. $3 each at hardware store. No brainer!!
I bought the bulk pack of this item, 20 for $12.95. I see now that it drops to even $10.95 for 20. These are REALLY well made, really nice looking door stops that are shinier than the picture shows. I cannot believe the price disparity between Lowe's/Home Depot and buying online.I have some 7 foot doors that are heavy, and this has no problem stopping the door knobs from putting a hole in the wall. This is probably the best deal of any household product I've bought in a long time. I wish I could buy $500 blinds for $80... just like this $3 stop is 60 cents each in bulk. Also, these are better than the 4" versions because those are just way too long.. 3" is plenty to protect your walls. Thanks for reading!

Super Easy
finally, I had to replace a broken one. Once I figured out how to replace it, it tool literally 30 seconds. My old one used to snap at the joint, so you have to toss the whole thing away. This one does not have a joint, so it wont break like the old one. good buy!

Too short & faulty base design
The base the spring screws into isn't design properly. The spring should be able to do a full turn inside the base. A full turn makes the spring secure in the base, and it also allows the spring to seat flush against the base. Look at the pictures to see the difference between the old base and the new base. I used the new spring in the old base to show a full turn inside the base. I also used a new spring in a new base to show a barely quarter-turn inside the base. Another picture shows how the spring does not seat flush against the base if it is not able to do a full turn inside the base. The second problem is that this spring is a full inch shorter than standard size Springs. The shorter spring means most door knobs will almost touch the wall and if the door is open to firmly the doorknob will touch the wall. It also means if you have some type of lock on the handle, like in a bathroom or a bedroom, when the door is opened, the lock latch on the handle slightly hits the wall leaving a small indentation in the wall.I hate to leave a negative review on what appears to be a good deal, but this is a crucial design flaw of the spring.

I do like the look of the solid stop design over this spring design.Only ordered the solid stop design after ordering this spring style ----supplier sent this spring style with "white" caps instead (they were out of black capped as shown). They did kindly issue a refund. So I reluctantly ordered the solid stop [see Designers Impressions Oil Rubbed Bronze Heavy Duty Solid Rigid Door Stop w/ Rubber Tip : 2546 - 10 Pack] , as i was afraid they would puncture the door if my boys opened the doors too quickly. But no issues so far.Update January 25, 2015: still no issues. Look great

I am mostly satisfied with these door stops
I am mostly satisfied with these door stops. The design is a little concerning because you install them by screwing a plate to the wall, then twisting the 'spring' portion into that plate. Our experience with a couple has been that the spring part can easily back out of the plate. And our 2 year old has figured out how to take them out too, which can be a little annoying.

They are cheap and they work.
As as handyman doing vacancy turnovers, I go through dozens on these a month. The pyramid base helps them absorb shock better than the straight springs, which eventually kink, or solid posts, which will get kicked and break off. Great product at a great price, if you're using them up in quantity...

They work great. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get the screw out of the spring in order to install it, however.

These work and do not pop off accidentally.
Used these to replace existing stops that did not have a retention hole to prevent the spring from popping off.. These are much better than the friction fit springs and the metal satin color is attractive and matches the satin nickel door hardware.
