It will cover the R2D2 but that subs ring is glued on and not meant to be removed, thats probably why Rockford didnt make one, this fits the holes perfectly and looks good, I uses some awesome metal cutters I have and cut out a triangle so you can see the emblem on the ring because I hated covering that nice beautiful ring, that Rockford is known for, but if you were to forcibly remove the glued ring this would fit perfect, but looks just fine on the outside, and behind a truck seat it keeps a couple inches of space so your sub doesn't get muffled, its tough and solid it will not break or get pushed in.

I purchased two of these about a year ago for my Skar VVX 10’s. It takes modifications to fit right. It does NOT come with the NVX rubber gasket because that is part of the subwoofer, not the grill. The grill is meant to be tucked under that. It wasn’t a perfect fit for the VVX’s. The Skar rubber gasket is thick and removing them and stretching the gasket over the grill took some time and elbow grease. The screw holes weren’t a perfect match either because well, this isn’t an NVX subwoofer lol. I had to drill half of the holes on the grill to get the fitment good. I’m sure it’s much easier for the intended NVX subs, but it works on my Skar VVX 10’s and the 12” grill worked for my CT Strato 12 and AG 12 as well. After a little work, these are the best grills I could find without put those big long bar grills. I wanted the best protection I could find for my subwoofers because I really don’t want them getting damaged from cargo. These probably won’t work for subwoofers with giant surrounds like a Sundown X, but should be perfect for the SA which are similar to the VVX. Edit: I added several photos on the Skar VVX 10, CT Sounds Strato 12, and the Wolfram AG 12. You have to use your subwoofer’s rubber gasket to hold the grill in place. See my CT Strato closeup, it has the CT logo on it. This grill does NOT come with an NVX gasket because the NVX subs it was made for already has it, just like your subs should. I also uploaded photos of it while I was putting it on my Wolfram AG 12.

Will not fit the newer nvx 10 inch model it rubs on surround and will not work , other than that I will try on a smaller 10 later on , bought for the nvx but it must be for older model .

10.5" OD. It's for "oversized" 10 inch subwoofers. Measure your frame. I modified them to work with my subwoofers. My frame is 10-5/8" od. I ended up grinding about 1/8" off the diameter of the grille and modifying the mounting holes to match up. Imo, these should be closer to $10 shipped.
