WII Skylanders LOOSE Wired Portal of Power

We ordered this to replace a battery operated one that stopped working. My daughter can now play her game again thanks to this, and we don’t have to keep replacing batteries so it is saving us money. Yay!

Why in the world Activision puts out a wireless portal for Skylanders is beyond me. They suck down batteries like crazy. I got sick of buying packs of batteries all the time for the portal. My kids aren't even allowed to play for very long on it, and I was still buying batteries galore. I spotted this wired portal on here when it came up on a search. I didn't know they made one. I am happy with it. It works well. You don't have to worry about it dying mid game either. That was a pain, when the kids would be playing and it would just pop up the portal connection had been lost because the batteries died. My kids think the wired portal is a little brighter then the wireless one, but I didn't really think so myself. If it is, it's slight.

I bought this as a replacement for my wireless one that quit working. The cord is a good length but obviously doesn't have the range of the wireless. Additionally it doesn't have an off button so it runs and glows all the time and I don't like to plug and unplug it all the time due to wear and tear on the Wii and the portal.

We had 2 wireless portals and they never worked at all. Would keep turning off before the game even started. So I went and brought a wired portal and it works GREAT! Love that I never have to change batteries or anything in it ever again!

Great price...all we needed was additional portal but could only find sets. This is perfect. Arrived timely and works. Tics all my boxes

Need to play skylanders game.

We bought a set of Skylanders figures and games from a garage sale. The wireless dongle was missing, and instead of spending $15 to replace the wireless connector, I found this wired version for half the price! And as an added bonus, I don't have to keep buying batteries for the thing!The only downsides are:1. The wire is a tad short for us. Where the Playstation is in comparison to the ottoman (where we have the portal), the wire is a bit taught and gets tripped over sometimes. Which, if the figures tip over, it disrupts the game.2. It doesn't turn off. If it's plugged into the system, then it lights up - ALL THE TIME. We use our Playstation to also stream Netflix and Hulu, etc. So anytime it is on, the portal glows various colors. And because of where the system is, it's not very convenient to unplug the portal when not in use.

My son is ecstatic that he can play again- his portal was damaged and he thought he would never play again. So happy
