We bought these for the house when our kids got a drum set. The fit is universal, so I would understand if somebody wanted to pay a little more for something more specifically fitted for them. However we found this set to be comfortable and effective for our 4yo and our 6yo, as well as the adults. They'll get the job done.

I would not recommend it if you have a very large head, as someone I once worked with had. I'm medium/large sized headwise, and they are snug on me. You can adjust them, but I felt my head size was the max extension comfortably. They cover average-sized ears as well. If you are endowed with a big head and big ears, get something else. The pair has good value, and after months of use, I haven't had an issue. If something is too loud, use double hearing protection by using these over-foam plugs. I'd give them a 4.5 if Amazon allowed half points.
