Honeywell Home E3554N Klingeltransormator VDE 3

Very quiet. Wired this from my lighting circuit to power a Tapo D130 video doorbell (requiring 8v-24v, 1.2A). Previously I had installed an LED driver (transformer) but the doorbell would reset intermittently, this is due to these type of transformers not having a constant voltage. However, this item (installed inside a £3 DIN enclosure from Screwfix) has cured any issues, as it gives the doorbell the correct voltage at a constant 8v and it draws 1.2A from the available 2A. Great stuff. The terminals are small and there are two metal plates that come together when the screw is tightened. Make sure your wiring is inbetween these two metal plates. Easy. If installing inside a cheap plastic DIN enclosure, you'll need a 2 way. The enclosure will also need supporting at the back (or installed onto a solid surface) first, otherwise the transformer will have trouble 'clicking' into place. Really happy and Honeywell is a brand I trust. I always buy known brands when it comes to electricals, after experiencing light bulbs melting from a cheap brand from Amazon.

I bought this to replace the transformer in our system because my wife could no longer hear the chimes in the hall when she was watching TV in the lounge. So I added another set of chimes in the lounge and the original transformer (over 35 years old) couldn't generate enough of a sound. Both chimes are Honeywell Ding Dong Classic. Swapped it for this one and both chimes are now ringing loud and clear. Very happy with the result.

Replaced a 1960s era doorbell transformer that didn't have enough oomph for two bell chimes. Simple to fix and resolved the issue completely.

I needed sufficient watts to supply power to activate 3 Friedland door chimes (on three separate floors). This transformer does this at adequate volume.

Got it, installed it, uninstalled it as it was buzzing so loudly
